Los Altos is the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall in love with Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived, we knew this wasn't just another resort, it was a sanctuary. The private beach is so serene. Waking up to unobstructed ocean views and the sound of waves while sipping coffee on your balcony sets the tone for everything that follows. The setting feels both luxurious and utterly unpretentious. What truly sets Los Altos apart is how thoughtfully it's designed. The grounds strike that rare balance between feeling exclusive and intimate. Wildlife encounters weren't staged or disappointing. We spotted monkeys playing in the canopy, parrots calling overhead, and even a sloth moving through the trees at its own leisurely pace. It felt like staying in nature itself. The restaurant deserves its own paragraph. The food is genuinely the best we found in Manuel Antonio, creative, fresh, and executed with real care. Meals there became highlights of our days, not just fuel between activities. Every day there was some unique activity. A cocktail making class, nature walk, yoga class. We were lucky to catch an evening of local music and dance show, which was a very unique experience.
The pool is immaculate and generously sized, perfect for cooling off between beach time and exploring. And the team here is the real difference-maker. The staff anticipated needs we didn't even know we had, handled special requests with genuine warmth, and made us feel truly welcomed. The complimentary shuttle to town beaches is a practical touch that kept our days flexible. Manuel Antonio National Park is practically on your doorstep, you can be on a trail within minutes.
If you're looking for a place that combines natural beauty, real comfort, and hospitality that feels genuine, Los Altos delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend.

The townhouse was unbelievably amazing. The view was exceptional and plunge pool was glorious! Bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
The beach is not really suited for swimming and is quite rocky. But there is white sand beach just around the corner and there's a shuttle.

Amazing property and location. Staff were phenomenal. Melisa and here colleagues were amazing - helpful, efficient and went out of their way to help us have the best experience possible.
