Location
Needs maintenance of the rooms, bathrooms and corridors. Too many pastry options at breakfast which is all sugar, doesn’t need to so many kinds. I didn’t see in 3 days anyone touching them so I consider it as a waste. The staff could be bit more communicative for availability of omelette etc and provide coffee when occupying the table.

The location of the property is very good, close to bars and restaurants. The rooftop is a must enjoy!

The location feels super safe (and was recommended as such by our Chilean friend). It's a quiet and upmarket area of Santiago.
International and local shops are a 4 min walk nearby, including a shopping centre.
It's only a 20min drive from SCL airport (we booked a return taxi via Booking.com for £25 e/w), although Ubers are available for £30-40 ish return).
The roof-top bar/restaurant is cool, although being a Monday in May it was chilly and very quiet. We managed to get a light bite (empanadas and gyozas (okay)) on our arrival late on Monday.
Breakfast buffet in the lower ground restaurant is okay, well-stocked, hot and old options.
Wi-Fi in our room was good, free and reasonable fast with an Wi-Fi AP in our room.
Our room (803) featured a hot tub on the balcony (although we didn't use it) and it was very spacious. A separate large bath and shower were also welcomed.
There was a great high-end sushi/Peruvian restaurant right next door (Osaka). £85 for 2 people, quite a lot of food, drinks and tip. It was quite busy for a Monday in May too!
We walked for 1 3/4 hours to the centre via Bellavista (don't recommend as it was along a busy highway).
Bed bugs! My wife and I were bitten extensively. The bed appeared clean, but with it being May there weren't mosquitoes about.
The room and hotel felt quite dated, and more suited for business-trips than a leisure trip (two desks in our room, conference rooms in the basement).
The room safe didn't work.
The aircon in the room was very noisy, ineffective (couldn't cool the room in May late autumn!) and a very old system.
The aircon in the corridors was very very noisy outside our room.
It's billed as a 5* hotel, and I guess the amenities are what score this, not the style or quality.
The spa floor and our bathroom floors were extremely slippery. Polished marble is not a great idea for a wet environment!
If travelling for leisure, most museums and sightseeing options are closed on Mondays! Check before travel.
Smog. The city was very polluted. Going up the San Cristóbal Hill revealed a thick green/brown polluted haze across the city. The surrounding mountains and season I am told help contribute this.
