Nice peaceful location, and the room price I paid was decent.
Pillows were terrible and gave me a bad back. The restaurant was a bit too expensive, £21 for a fairly small piece of battered fish, desserts similarly overpriced, I almost went for the chocolate tort but watching someone else eating it who clearly needed a hacksaw instead of cutlery to get through it I naturally declined!

Great location, rooms clean and on the ground floor annex, perfectly suited to my frail 91yr old father. Beds were comfortable with a decent shower.
Good varied lunch and dinner menu. Great quality of food.
Overall, Lovely calm ambience and residents all well behaved.
Nice and quiet at night
Breakfast waiter was late. Obviously overslept and hungover. Then burnt the bacon as was served up cremated.

Nice pub. Decent food.
Thought the rooms at the side of the hotel were a bit poky. They were near the kitchen so there was some coming and going noise. Didn’t think breakfast was that great.
