Perfect location, nice views, super comfortable, responsive host... Would definitely recommend and go back. The bed was especially big and comfortable and you could see the Independence Square from the balcony, as well as the dome from a nearby church. There was a lift and only a small section of the staircase was unavoidable.
Some points to consider:
- There was no shower gel provided which was kind of strange
- The kitchen is kind of dark
- If you are a paranoid person like me, it is true that the combination of the air raids and the balcony is not that good, although in retrospect the view was really beautiful. I ended up moving to another apartment in a lower floor with no view (inside a backyard) and felt more safe there.
- Yes, there are often some air raids sirens in the night and explosions (I just heard them once out of seven nights but was enough to totally scare me). Still, if you think about it in a purely mathematical way, it is statistically safe and people just carry on with their lives normally
