Happy we chose to only stay here during our stay!

We stayed here for 10 nights and loved it! The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and staff went above and beyond! Location was great. We did the honeymoon package and enjoyed their spa, cooking class, romantic dinner, & floating breakfast! We look forward to when we come again!

Unfortunately the wifi wasn’t the best, which only was difficult since we had to work remote some of the time.

Nice place with friendly and helpful staff and in a great location.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great cafes and restaurants on doorstep. Close to town central but away from the maddening crowd.

Air-conditioner was old and had to run 24x7 to keep the place cool.

Green, quiet and peaceful place

We returned to this beautiful place in a quiet area of Ubud and we had another pleasant stay. This time we booked a room on the upper floor which was large and with really pretty interior details. We also had a big terrace which looked over the whole garden. The bedroom overall was clean and bright. The pool, the garden, the restaurant and the staff are really nice. Keep it up!

Fantastic...

Loved the amazing staff who are exceptional in there standards and lead by a great manager. The food was outstanding. My villa right by the pool and the bed was so comfortable.

Villa Sonia was delightfully perfect for an 11 day stay. The staff were all friendly and accommodating; breakfast was generous and the options were varied. Comfortable beds, peaceful location, everything you could need. We would definitely book this property again.

Beautiful place to stay

I needed a rest and the place was quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful and brought food and drinks to my room. The shower was spacious with good pressure. I used the pool in the evening to cool down. The grounds are immaculately maintained. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from staff

Went there with my friend for a short trip. The staff were amazing. They remembered our names and would accommodate our requests like keeping our room service food warm as we were returning back to the hotel late at night. The suite with garden view was nice but gotta take note that the toilet is not air-conditioned.

I didnt like the toilet as there was a very strong smell from the toilet bowl. We had to buy our own air freshener to reduce the smell of the toilet. The outdoor shower is perfect for pictures but you'll be a feast for mosquitoes and the tiles were full of algae. Guess it adds to the picturesque vibe but i didn't quite like it.

The staff was so kind, gentle, happy to help and welcoming. The staff was just excellent. Relaxation atmosphere in the hotel. The area is quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable and beautiful pool. The garden is lovely. The room was cleaned daily. Wi-Fi is very good. The breakfast is good. The location is excellent. There are many cafes nearby. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the main street with shops through the monkey forest. Highly recommend staying here.

quiet oasis in lovely ubud

this was the third time we visited villa sonia in 7 years and we were so happy to see that they managed to keep the laid back vibe alive and the quality high. the staff members are so kind, gentle, happy to help amd welcoming. the garden is lovely, breakfast good, and the location on nyun kuning the best.

Chill hotel near Monkey forest with a great value for money

We stayed a week in Villa Sonia and had a lovely time. The second swimming pool of the hotel was very quite and chill. The room was quite spacious, with both shower and bathtub. The room was cleaned daily. Hotel has room service from the restaurant at the premises. The personnel was very cute and friendly all the time. Good value for money and great location.

Wifi was practically absent and we almost didn’t have mobile line in our room. The breakfast buffet was very poor- it had more asian options rather than western, we could eat only eggs and some fruits (papaya and watermelon). The water was not going out well from the shower. The dull smell of humidity when entering the room.

A perfect way to see the best of Ubud

This villa is located in Nyuh Kuning which is a quiet township which was perfect to us! a short 5 minute scooter ride into the heart of Ubud. There are an array of local restaurants in this area which was really handy. The staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet!

Lovely gardens on a quiet road leading to the Mo nkey Forest. Pools refreshing and pleasant. The breakfast terrace good. Staff accommodating generally Price fair

Breakfast not so generous. Reception girl rather terse and suspicious and Tricky with calculations on bill. Also suggested we d taken a hand tiwel !!!! Rather ridiculous Spa treatments over priced

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at Villa Sonia, and can’t wait to return!

We loved the location in Nyuh Kuning. Lots of nice restaurants close by, and an easy walk into Ubud via Monkey Forest. The Villa had lovely grounds, very peaceful, and the staff were wonderful. we loved the restaurant above the pool, and the 2 pools were great! We would definitely stay here again.

Best location, clean pool, lovely room.

The rooms was beautiful and spacious, the outdoor (covered) shower was very refreshing and great water pressure. The pool was very clean and never busy. The food was really tasty, especially the breakfast. Staff were always friendly. The location was perfect if you want lots of places to eat or drink nearby, especially cheap places! Also so close to the monkey forest that at the end of the road you see monkeys but at the resort you will be away from them.

Strangely the staff would call at odd hours asking when we would go to breakfast, we were informed when breakfast ended as we booked in, so I wish they had left it at that and if we missed it, we missed it. It's also worth noting that we did see some bugs, this is just part of having so many outdoor areas available and was totally fine, but if you have a fear of bugs, maybe not the place for you.

Very good

This is our second time in Ubud and Villa Sonia, is like our home in this area. The staff is great, always smiling and welcoming.

Very memorable stay.

The villa was very spacious with an amazing bathroom and outdoor shower. Very well situated a short distance from the monkey forest and restaurants. About 15 skooter ride to city centre. The breakfast was OK, staff were very accommodating when requesting specific alterations to my omelette style, staff extremely helpful and hard working. Rooms very clean and comfortable. We loved all of the activities available in Ubud. Water rafting down the river, hiking up Mount Batur volcano to watch sunrise over the ocean, taking an adventure ride by skooter up to munduk to go waterfall hunting. Villa Sonia was amazing value for money, fantastic staff that went beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout our stay. We would definately stay here again if ever in ubud. The infinity pool had an amazing temperature. The crispy duck at the restaurant is a must try and our favourite throughout our time in Indonesia.

Very nice end of our vacation in indonesia

It was the most beutiful place during our vacation. Unfortunately there was so much todo in Ubud that we didn't have the time to use the facilities. Good breakfast.

Everything was good but we had higher expectations of the restaurant
