Great location for Gare de Lyon. Very clean and modern. Room was of a decent size and the room comfy. Bit noisy when we opened the windows but was nice to have fresh air so didn't need the air con on. Shower was excellent. Loved the table football in the reception area. Didn't have breakfast as we had to leave very early for train.
No kettle in the room. Coffee machine available in the breakfast area is free to use for guests but bit of a pain having to trapse down to the ground floor when we wanted a drink.

After having a bad experience at another hotel from the same chain, ibis budget Hotel Luzern City, I was a little worried about staying at this hotel. However, my experience here was completely different. Everything was satisfactory, the stay was comfortable, and I was very happy with the overall service and facilities. I had a very good experience here and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my stay.

Lovely staff and very convenient being just a few minutes walk from the train station I arrived to.
Style over substance and poor value for money. The room was clean and looked nice but had neither a bin nor any way to make a hot drink in it. There was a coffee machine downstairs but it was only available for use from noon until midnight. I got there late after a long day travelling so could not even make myself a cup of tea, and would have loved to stay in bed with a coffee in the morning but that wasn’t possible. If I’d have known it was essentially just a bed I wouldn’t have paid so much and would have gone for a budget hotel instead.
The ensuite was a kind of wet room which got very wet when using the shower — the water drained slowly meaning the water spread and soaked the whole floor.
