So convenient and near to the restaurants. Lionel are Innkeeper was so very kind and helpful. He helped us get settled in and personally went with me to park my car.
The weather in the UK has been very hot. As there was no AC in the room, a larger fan would’ve been very helpful.

Perhaps a handrail on one of the stair cases and our door handle was a little loose

Great location. Lovely old building. Comfortable bed and quiet at night. Granola at breakfast was really good.
Heating didn't come on until evening in our 2nd floor room- hotel had been closed for a week before arrival so likely took a while to reach top of house when turned on. Shower temperature couldn't be lowered so was too hot to stand under. We did report this to staff but they seemed to think it unlikely as 'that room is the one where it generally doesn't work'. I'd advise they check it before putting anyone else in the room as it's dangerously hot. Breakfast -apart from the amazing granola - was underwhelming. Poured a glass of wine from honesty bar and was charged for a bottle- staff said there were cans of wine but this was not at all clear on the menu in the bar cupboard. They told me to take the rest of the bottle with me! Strange customer service....
