I had the best experience at the Rich & Free hotel. The staff were amazing, the room was spotless clean, and the bed was super comfortable. As a bonus, they also offer free coffee, drinks and snacks 24/7. In addition, the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Taipei Main Station, which is very convenient.

Lots to like! Excellent location close to central station. Staff were always available - a 24/7 desk (a big reason I chose this place)
Excellent free coffee for my mornings 🤤 very grateful for this. Very comfy bed and overall set up, and excellent daily cleaning.
One thing (and the only thing) that was actually a big issue for me - the AC. I recognise that I'm more sensitive than most people where AC is concerned, but I simply couldn't get off to sleep easily for any of the 4 nights I spent here. I moved the bed and changed the position of the blades but still felt like there was a strong wind on me while I was trying to sleep. To be fair, I did not feel like this when I woke up in the morning - for me, this only affected me whilst trying to fall asleep and didn't impact my staying asleep. I hope this info helps someone, as it's so hard to find the right hotel for you. Overall a very good and successful place which deserves its high score.

Unexpectedly spacious for a room in taipei, they are usually really small.
The room was clearly outdated with some cosmetic updates(mostly the bathroom). But everything else was clearly outdated. Had no power outlets by beds and actually seems to have two by the desk.
