The Anchorage is super clean and tidy. The hosts take a pride not only in their Grade II listed home and B&B but in providing an excellent friendly service and are very accommodating. Breakfast is great. They are very knowledgable about the local area and places to visit. The Anchorage has prime views back (harbour) and front (beach) with fabulous views at breakfast. It is within easy reach of bus stops and the train station. I cannot fault the service nor cleanliness of this B&B and I'd rate it as the best I have stayed in over many years.
I did not understand when booking that the single room had a separate toilet and bathroom. It did say private, which they are for use of that single room only. The double rooms are en-suite. I found this end of the beach to be noisy but I am sensitive to noise.
