El lloc es fantàstic, a la falda del parc natural de Gorbeia, ideal per passejades per una zona a descobrir per amants del senderisme. Laura i Sònia van ser molt atentes i professionals. Els esmorzars exquisits. Una zona a prop de Bilbao per descobrir.

Que no tuviera neverita

the surroundings are very beautiful. the road to reach the hotel passes through woods and small groups of old houses. there are nature trails if you like walking. the hotel is a very large and renovated house, the exterior has the typical Basque architecture while the interior is very modern. there is a well-kept garden and a free parking. the rooms are new and large with big bathrooms but a little impersonal for me. breakfast is paid separately but is freshly made. there are information materials and relax area. we asked for an additional room after booking and it was given to us with a discount for individual use. we received good advice on a restaurant where we ate well within 10 minutes by car in the nice town of Orozko. the hotel is run by two sisters.

unfortunately our experience was marked by many details that went wrong for which the owner Sonia apologized at the end of our stay and we really appreciated it. even though we had notified of our arrival by email when we arrived we found the wooden gates closed and the entrance door closed. the owner Laura didn't answer the phone and the was no bell. we stayed in the car park for half an hour then finally a neighbor showed us the house where they live so we were able to find them and go in. the owners didn't seem particularly sorry about what happened. the owner Laura does not speak English, she hasn't got WhatsApp and this becomes annoying when there are problems to solve. she seemed very annoyed by our complaints. at breakfast we were served a fruit and vegetable extract instead of juice and they couldn't tell us the ingredients, which could be a problem due to allergies and individual tastes. Laura took away some fruit and biscuits from the table that we had bought, mistaking them for rubbish. of savory foods there was only an omelette: no cheese, cured meats, tomatoes etc (I asked for cheese and tomato and two slices were brought to me). it was difficult to figure out how to get hot water in the shower and this forced my mother to get dressed to go out and ask for help. in front of the hotel there is a dilapidated iron and plastic structure that ruins the view. we have been to many rural houses in Basque country and the price of this one is definitely too high for the services offered. We hope above all that they will improve customer welcome because the place is very nice!
