The hotel is across an open "square" from the Ghent Sint Pieter's station, so it was easy to deposit my luggage in the morning. The owner/manager was very pleasant and helpful.The room was fine. It overlooked the square and station.
The dinner menu was mainly Indian/Nepali. It was lovely to eat al fresco in the warm evenings.
Getting into to the centre was easily done with plenty of trams regular.y passing. The ticket machine was simple to use.
The wifi was poor. Very patchy.

Location: I was looking for an easy access to the train station and I found it as this hotel is right across the square from the Ghent Saint Peters train station. In order to get to Ghent’s city center, you will have to take a tram. Tram stop is about 100 meters from the hotel and it takes 10-13 minutes to reach Ghent’s historical center.
Room, bathroom and shower cabin are big and clean enough. Bed is also comfortable enough. Room had a refrigerator(although, it was unplugged and since I didn’t really had anything to put in it, I never plugged it in).
The hotel has a couple restaurants literally next door. One is Nepalese and it belongs to the hotel.
I didn’t tried the breakfast, but I’ve tried chicken curry for dinner.
Personnel: mostly I’ve talk only to 1 person - the one who checked me in- and she was extremely friendly and caring.
The biggest problem: this hotel does not has air conditioner. It was not that hot during my stay, but if it would be a bit hotter, it would be an issue.
Hotel also needs some improvements(new carpet, etc). Although, and the way I understand, some improvement already has been planned.
Another problem I came across is the Wi-Fi. It was working perfectly fine during my first evening there and in the mornings. However, for whatever reason, it was going on and off during my second evening.
Overall, and if you would like to stay close to the train station, I would say that this hotel is a good choice

Personnel were wonderfully kind in my few interactions. The room was perfectly fine for 1 person. Loved that the window actually opened! And no chemically air fresher or yucky musty odors. Even had a mini-fridge which I did not expect. One night I got an appetizer plate from the adjoining restaurant, and it was very good.
The area was noisy--train station (under construction so noisier then usual), and a lot of bar/restaurant/street noise. (This is no fault of the property owners. Just a reality of the location.} Some interesting stains on the stairwell carpeting, and the motion sensors in the stairwell did not work well, Sometimes they did not come one until 1/2 way down a flight. A wash cloth in the bathroom would have been nice, but towels were sufficient quantity for the stay.

From the moment you got there you didn’t feel welcomed. The reception was not what I was expecting. Walking to the lift it resembled a hostel not a hotel. It was grubby and scruffy. The lifts only went partially to your room you had to walk up another 10 steps. The carpet had suspicious stains everywhere. Although the room was clean the bed was old and very soft. The water pressure very low. Breakfast was not worth the money you paid. There was only enough scramble eggs for two people. There were at least 10 people that I saw at the time. There was boiled eggs and bacon that was so crisp. Not much else expected for a few slices of bread, a few slices of cheese and ham and pastries. Unfortunately the coffee machine had been broken for 1 week they are hoping to be fixed in the next day or so. We had hot water with coffee in sachets which were disgusting. I would not recommend or stay there again.
