The best feature of this hotel was the staff. I encountered a very high level of service in all departments. The front desk staff were welcoming, polite, and friendly. The waiters in the dining room were attentive and engaged. The chef responded to direct requests from me and others, including my request that he cook some crispy bacon for me (instead of the rather fatty type then available). All staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is also strong here - good choice, good food, and a comfortable dining room. Ice machines on every floor is also highly useful.
Housekeeping seems to be the weak point. The rooms are cleaned adequately, but only just. I had to request a change of pillowcase, as mine had large dirty marks on it (it appeared to be mud). The bed was uncomfortable - possibly the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. Some of the rooms have quite small windows, though others are fine. Poor management showed in systemic failures - plates constantly running out at breakfast (for example) and guests having to ask staff to bring more - this is poor management.
