We were robbed right at the hotel reception. Was a very bad experience.

Breakfast was the same every morning. And it had very less choices. I think its not enough value for money. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We were robbed right at the hotel reception. I have no idea that could happen at a hotel like this. The thief took one of our backpacks when we were waiting for our taxi. My husband went to the toilet keeping the bag next to me while I was standing at the reception. After few mins I notice that the backpack was not there anymore. The receptionists and few hotel guests were there too. I did not feel safe in this hotel and I want to let everyone know, to be careful. It was a very bad experience I had important things in that backpack for my toddler and we had to continue our journey without anything of the child's things afterwards. It was very stressful and made the whole experience so bad. Hotel being a reputed star class hotel, should ensure more safety INSIDE there hotel more than this. Any thief can come inside the hotel and steal anything as such. Security should be higher.

Hotel recomendable normalmente, tuvimos mala suerte con las obras

Limpieza, personal súper amable, localización

La calle estaba en obras, y a pesar de haber pedido expresamente una habitación interior por tener problemas de sueño, nos tocó una exterior. A las 8 ya estaba la obra con maquinaria.

The stay was comfortable and the facilities were clean

The property was very clean and the staff were friendly

we booked a junior suite thinking there will be extra space as we were 3 adults but it was only one room with a small sofa which was used as a bec for the third adult- our daughter so I thought it was too expensive

The hotel is 4 star but it’s old, there was no air ventilation in the toilet/bathroom, also the reception staff isn’t very helpful and nice

Wonderful place to rest for enjoying the city.

The hotel is really nice, both in decoration and cleanliness. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple and clean, and we really love the plan of the room.

Exceptional

All the staff was incredibly polite and available at any time of the day. The room has been cleaned very well every day at the desired time. The swimming pool area was always clean and available for use. Amazing experience!

A great stay overall.

We had a great stay here. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and quiet. Our bed was very large and comfortable. In a very good location - it only took us about 20 mins to walk to the centre. Very clean too. Air conditioning worked very well in our room.

Confusion over the gym opening time - advertised as 7am but it’s actually 9am which was too late for us. The gym is also in the hotel opposite. No kettle in our room - this would have been appreciated.

Nice place to stay for few days.

location is great, hotel is nice, comfy really big bed. Everything was great. Room was not fancy new, but everything worked well and be in the room was pleasant. It is not in a main Street, so you won’t hear cars and people from the street, but still really close to it.

Walls are really thin. It was luck that our neighbours were where only one day. But you will hear everything. Every cough, every word.

The room was decent, clean, and quiet for the period we didn't have neighbors. The breakfast was good, but not very diversified. You can eat there like 3 days in a row, but then you need to find alternatives. The guys and ladies at the front desk are nice and helpful.

The "fun" part begins when you get some neighbors. On the first floor, where we were accommodated, the rooms have an inner double door through which you can pass into the next room. There's no safety issue because your neighbor cannot open the door from your side, but man...you can hear everything through those doors...and this is not pleasant at all. Do you want to have a romantic night? Be ready to share it with your neighbors! :))

Comfort and convenience

The staff overall was quite attentive and did their best to make my stay comfortable. Large fluffy towels and good shower puts Hotel Derby one step ahead of their competitors. Will stay with them again. Highly recommended.

Very good

Location was great, near bus lines, aprox. 40 minutes walking distance to main ataractions. Breakfast was good, not much variety, but enough for a small hotel like this.

Room 420 smelled like mold, but we didn't ask for another room, so I can't say what their solution would have been. Not at all soundproofed. If you are a light sleeper or have trouble sleeping, this is not the place for you. Not the cleanest hotel, one of the bed lines was dirty, some hair on the matress protector
