Good central location. Lovely soft bedding. One small point; proper salt and pepper on the tables, in fact pink salt and proper peppercorns. Decent breakfast.
Not the friendliest place I’ve stayed at. A perfectly functional but hardly warm welcome. Followed, at 8:10 on a Friday evening, by their refusal of a seat at the hotel’s bistro because “the kitchen is now closed “. I asked why and they said the kitchen closes at eight. Really, really poor, especially for a resident. Cong however, is a bit like that. The pub across the road is the best but it stops serving at nine and reservations are definitely needed.
Also, while the breakfasts are tasty and the range is good, the sausages and eggs are not freshly made; they sit in their metal containers for half an hour or more. It’s not like an old-fashioned Irish B and B.
