beautiful jungle location. perfect for families. porch was a delight. monkeys and other animals came to visit!

In the heart of the rainforest - highly recommended

Fantastic location, right in the rainforest. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was very nice too (by Hotel Ficus). It's right in the St Elena town, where there are several restaurants and shops while hidden in the rainforest and very secluded. It was an amazing experience.

Great base for visiting the area.

It's a great spot surrounded by nature, a short walk to local bars and restaurants. Our first room was tiny, dark, dirty and overlooked a carpark, but the lovely staff moved us to a very nice, much larger, brighter one that had a private balcony and felt like its own little corner of the woods. Very relaxing place to sit with the birds and sounds of nature. A decent buffet breakfast is served in the hotel next door with a fabulous view all the way down to the sea. Same view, plus sunset, for happy hour cocktails. The hotel also will book tours for you, that didn't seem any more expensive than what is on offer elsewhere. Thank you to Paula and Eileen for making us feel welcome.

We had to live out of our cases, as there's no useful space to put anything and there's only room for one case to be kept off the floor. It is a bit basic - eg lack of bedside lights and walls are a bit thin.

Excellent location, great staff and nice surroundings. Excellent way to detach from the norms of city life.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable along with the pillows.

Good lodge near the town center, easy access to activities around

Nice lodge type place, small hanging bridge to go to the room, nice wooden panelled room. Great location.

breakfast is good but only one portion of fruit allocated, rooms are a bit dark

great location, amazing breakfast, good value for money, lovely guy behind reception who was so friendly and accommodating!

our bedroom felt very exposed to others walking to their room so felt like we couldn’t have the curtains open (but there’s not too much they could do about that since the pathway leads to other rooms)

So beautiful, loved all the wildlife.

Super old feel but in excellent condition. Felt like we were camping.

The hills were a bit tiring.

spacious clean room, could just about hear the main road but generally very quiet at night.

breakfast wasn’t the best, the pancakes were quite gritty and the restaurant room quite depressing. Regularly seemed to run out of hot water for showers

nice, secluded spot with rustic charms

very convenient to town center but far enough to be very quiet, peaceful

room can get cool with no heat….staff was very helpful and provided an extra blanket

Very good

Well located and with a friendly welcome. We saw all sorts of wildlife from our balcony and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We were in room 132.

Some help with the bags up the steep hill would have been appreciated, also the road noise spoilt the effect of a nature refuge

Because of the poor room quality I would not stay here again.

Beautiful locations in the jungle living with the animals.

Rooms are not hotel quality. The walls are so thin and not properly insulated you can hear every little movement made by your neighbours. The roof is extremely noisy and it sounds like someone is constantly dropping a bucket of nails on a metal surface above you during the night.

good hotel with rustic rooms in a. good location.

check in was efficient , staff at the reception were very nice, Paola and Jamos were friendly and professional. there was a mistake made by the reservation, but it was quickly resolved.

when making the booking, on the website they said they had cable tv, when we went to the room, there was not even a TV, I didn't like that, BUT when I spoke about it at the reception they quickly solve the problem !!

Close to restaurants and shopping. Set back in nature with monkeys, butterflies etc. Staff helped book tours.

The floors were cleaned with product that caused asthma flare. Very strong chemical smell and it made the floors so slippery. I am fearful of an accident happening. The restaurant and bar was not open as described in bookings.

Surrounded by monkeys

Very friendly staff, willing to help you with all questions. You hear monkeys around the room all the time.

The room was humid, which made it feel like the sheets were a bit wet. After 2 days clothesin the room also felt a little wet. Rooms are noisy, luckily we did not have other people in the room next to us.

Exceptional

Loved the wildlife. Had an opportunity to see monkeys and hear the rain pouring at night. Beautiful location, has a night walk and activities, such as dinner on the property as well.

It was pretty cold in the room, maybe a way to heat the the room or more blankets. The bathroom was pretty small, no counter space. I think this is typical though.

Very good

Great location. It felt like we were really in the jungle but it still didn’t take us long to walk into town to go to the restaurants. Nice breakfast in the morning with friendly staff in the restaurant. The team at the front desk were helpful when arranging trips and shuttles.

The room could have done with some coat hangers as being up in the cloud forest meant clothes didn’t dry well. The laundry service was good and efficient but a little on the expensive side.
