Wonderful place to enjoy nature and relax

Loved our stay here, would come back in a heartbeat! Helpful and friendly staff, great buffet breakfast with healthy options, really close lots of food and cafe options. Despite being very central it felt very private and like we are in nature. We saw keel billed toucans, motmots, agouti (so cute) and lots of other birds just while sitting outside our room. Really easy to get to Monteverde Cloud Forest and other activities. Room was cosy and the shower was hot and WiFi was really good. Last but not least the property had two real unique points for me- the friendly dogs and cat who was adorable and also the trail which you can follow. It is short (less than 1 mile) but gives a fantastic view out to the pacific coast and the mountains and lots more opportunities to spot nature. We came across a family of coatis who were feeding and playing in a tree and more toucans when we walked it. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Very nice stay!

Very nice location, tucked away but easily accessible from the main road. Nice lodges, we got a complimentary upgrade which was really appreciated. Front desk staff very friendly, speak brilliant English and are very helpful. Cute lodge with comfortable bed. Close to town centre, restaurants and shops. Lots of wildlife to watch at Arco Iris too!

A perfect place to visit and remember the beauty of Costa Rica!

We were upgraded to a larger room which was a pleasant surprise! The grounds are lovely, well-maintained, and attract wildlife in the area. Our room was spacious with beautiful wood paneling throughout; a comfortable bed and large, clean and modern bathroom. Delicious breakfast, too!

Cozy chalet, too close to the road

Nicely located lodge with friendly and helpful manager. Cozy chalets close to the forest. The hotel offers many activites with pick-up included.

The lodge is very close to the main road (behind the trees) that during the night has noisy motorbike traffic. Despite explicitely requested way before our stay, the first day the kitchen was not able to offer a gluten free breakfast. After chatting with the manager, the second day they prepared a suitable breakfast.

Amazing hosts and beautiful location!

Cute dogs and cats roaming around the plot, really embedded in nature. Amazing and helpful stuff, really taking care of smallest of details! The lodge we stayed at was very clean and tidy. The lovely people at the reception desk gave us a little introduction around the town (including us a custom made map!) and helped us plan the days and book the attractions. Conviniently located to all atractions (the shuttle buses know the place and were mostly free). I highly recommend the place to everyone!

beautiful grounds. friendly staff and friendly dogs and cat. good breakfast. beautiful places to sit.

Room was modest and not decorated. We were surprised there were not rainbow photos or decorations considering the name of the hotel.

Very good

Close proximity to shops and restaurants. Beautiful premises, places to relax comfortably outdoors. Feels very close to nature. Friendly dogs and cats lounging on the premises!

Would be nice to have a more comfortable indoor lounge area. You can hear outdoor noises quite clearly through the night so if you're a light sleeper you may wake up easily.

We had a memorable stay and highly recommend Arco Iris Lodges

Delicious buffet. The location was tucked away from the main road but still minutes from restaurants. Staff gave helpful information for planning activities. Our cabin #8 was near the woods and we saw a Motmot and 2 monkeys climbing around the trees.

Pleasant stay but a few room improvements would of made it perfect.

Lovely well set out lodges. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Location good 2 minutes walk from the centre of the town but felt like it was very rural and quiet.

We know we booked a budget room how ever it was quite basic and sparse inside. The room would benefit from a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Which would allow you to the seating area outside while having a beverage of some kind. Also no where to put your clothes other than a small hanging rail with a couple of hangers.

Nice, quiet location few minutes from centre albeit uphill. Separate lodge units, comfortable beds and nice outside seating area. Reception area with plenty of books. Good buffet breakfast.

Superb

This a beautiful little "village" right at the centre of Monteverde. The cabins are built around a large courtyard/garden with trees, flowers, and grass. There are many cool spots to chill. The rooms are clean, and generally comfortable. Overall we had a very positive stay and I would recommend it as a great place to stay in Monteverde.

Some suggestions for improvement: -The tiled floor was cold. - curtains that would block the morning lights - electric sockets by the bed - the window has a part that can't be closed. It's has a net so no bugs can get in but the crickets "singing" do to a level that it woke us up at night a few times.

I wish we reserved a day just to enjoy the property🌸

Located in the city center next to a bus stop, so it is super convenient, but off the road so it is still tranquil. A long, steep driveway opens up onto a lushly landscaped property with fragrant citrus trees. White faced capuchin monkeys, armadillos, motmots and agouti can be seen on the property alone! Excellent breakfast with sugarfree, plain yogurt, eggs, fruit (starfruit included), bread, cheese and ham among many other delicious options. Helpful staff. Laundry available. If espresso is needed, the La Orquita Cafe is two doors down.

Clean, lots of space, 2 floors, quiet place, lots of trees, located very conveniently, helpful and nice staff

A green, quiet and relaxing spot in the centre of town with brilliant staff

Location is ideal - very central in Santa Elena but tucked away so you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Lots of green spots to relax. The cabins are small but very comfy and cosy - the bathroom is big, with a great shower, and there is a seating area outside. Delicious and extensive breakfast with plenty of options. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly - always on hand to help with bookings, problems etc. They even prepared us a packed breakfast when we had to leave at 6:30am to get a bus (and they do seem to offer early breakfasts for those who need it). We also loved the friendly cat!

More expensive than most other places we have stayed in Costa Rica, but Monteverde is expensive and we absolutely loved this place.

the place is beautiful. Although located at walking distance from Santa Elena, the place is calme, quiet and green. the breakfast is delicious and the room very comfortable and clean. the staff was nice and helpful. It was an excellent quality-price relationship, but I think I got a super discount on the price (due to an error or something). i would definitely recommend this place.

Astonishing place! Highly recommended!

It was a calm, quiet and beautiful. Perfectly located, close to restaurants and all you may need. The staff was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was very good (several choices of cereal, different types of bread and marmalade, eggs cooked in different ways, etc), the surroundings were astonishing. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The size of the room was perfect. The wifi worked very well too.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.
