The house is absolutely charming and unique with a fascinating history and is perfectly located in the heart of Reykjavik. It is filled with beautiful artwork, the perfect antidote to the usual sterile hotels and rentals. We felt very much at home. The kitchen was well equipped (no dishwasher).
We knew before traveling that the house is close to pubs and clubs and there was some noise at night but the house is double glazed and ear plugs are provided. This wasn't a problem for us. Due to the age and nature of the house sound travels easily so you have to keep in mind not to disturb others.

Charming house, warm and very comfortable. Great location. Friendly host. Would stay here again if visiting Reykjavík.

Great location and lot of space. Comfortable with shops, restaurants, coffee bars within 1 block
Could be problem for mobility issues if you have upstairs room.
