Location! Location! Location! Literally two blocks from rainbow road, shopping and the road to the church. Super convenient for walking even to Harpa and beyond. If you get a chance eat at Forréttabarinn.

New modern and spacious room. Location is great to walk around in the city.
The entrance on first floor looks old. It might be noisy during the night. My view from the window is parking lot.

Overall, I liked the centrality of the location. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do in the city. I also liked that the apartment was very clean. The size of the apartment was adequate. It would have been nice if it were a little larger. On the photos, it did look larger, probably because the penthouse suites were featured in the photos, not the studios.
Well, I do not like the self serve hands off approach of the host. There was really no direction or no one to ask questions. There was an initial email sent with bare basic information. There were not enough bath towels given and no way to get more. We had to buy our own toilet paper. There were not enough spare rolls left. No tissues were provided, so buy your own when you get there. It was very hard to regulate the heat. One of the radiator units did not work. Apartment got too hot, so windows had to be left open, which was an issue at night because of so much loud outside noise (screaming, yelling, loud music playing). I am not sure where all of the loud noise was coming from, since we faced a parking garage. This happened every night we were there. Bring ear plugs. The shower hand held nozzle did not stay upright, making it difficult to shower without using the rain shower head. I tried making tea, but the mugs all had the taste of coffee when I used them for tea. The parking situation was a pain. There was always plenty of parking, but the parka app only allowed you to purchase 3 hours at a time, so I was constantly having to keep a timer on to alert me to renew the parking hours. The price was good, but I would not stay here again. I would pay a little more to have more amenities and services.
