It was so nice to have a pet friendly home with a big fenced in yard and still close enough to walk into town. We had a wonderful stay in the clean home with a spacious and well equipped kitchen. It’s a 15 minute walk to town, where we enjoyed the restaurants, shops, drinks and coffee. It’s a quiet street and the beds were comfortable too! Thanks for being great hosts!

The house is very nice. It was very clean upon our arrival. Since we travel to Salida often, it was important to have a house where we could walk to various places like restaurants. The outside seating was a great place to get some warmth from the sun. The kitchen was well equipped which is important to us since we like to cook. The laundry room was much appreciated and well equipped also. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative point was having to go through the main floor bathroom as a passage way to the other bedroom and bathroom. The second bath is down in basement/lower floor which might be hard for someone with a disability. Bathroom linens were plush and clean. Our dog really enjoyed the backyard, but there are dogs next door so we kept him on a leash. All in all, we would stay here again.

It was the perfect place for our time together. A short walk to Main Street for shopping, eating and Ghost tour, soaking at My. Princeton & a drive up Monarch Pass to see the glistening golden aspens & cottonwoods.

This is the third time we've stayed here at the Sunflower Cottage and it never disappoints in its overall comfort and spaciousness.

We’ve traveled to Salida 7 times, always staying somewhere new. We will be back next summer and have already booked this location for that future trip. Location, cleanliness, layout, outdoor space, comfort - this place had it all.

Sunflower Cottage has been remodeled with high quality workmanship and an eye for historic design. The beds were comfortable, shower relaxing and the yard beautifully maintained. We had every convenience and more. The kitchen is easy to cook in for a crowd, if needed. It's about 10-12 blocks from downtown on a quiet shaded street with two lovely outside decks. We hope we can spend time there again!
