Very large room had the Windsor Castle room. Location was good

Basic lack of care. Entrance was unkept. Shower door missing, kettle missing,light cords missing. Toilet roll holder broken. Accept it is old and tired but some basic care was missing.

Nice place to stay

Great location: Main attractions are in 20 - 25 min walking distance It was clean room, coffee& tea and small kettle in the room. The staff was very friendly, they allowed us to leave our backpack before and after our stay. The Airlink bus for the airport runs very close by.

The bed were not super comfortable but it was still okay. The hotel accept cash only, I wish i received that information a day before so I could plan. But there is a ATM machine in 150m The wifi wasnt properly working in our room but perhaps its because we were at the top floor. To fair, my personal internet want working the best either in the room as well as in some places in Edinburgh. Perhaps internet infrastructure is not good enough in some areas in Edinburgh.

Disappointed with the bathroom situation.

The location of the property was good.

The bed was too soft and could feel every spring. We got the disabled room with a wet room. The water wouldn’t drain away and the floor was soaking meaning every time you wanted to go to the bathroom it was a mission. We didn’t book a disabled room as not disabled.

it was budget accommodation but needs some repairs and attention.

it was well located for access to Edinburgh by foot.

we weren’t supplied with a bath mat or hand towel for the bathroom until we requested them on the second day; the carpet was filthy; the knob on the toilet was broken, the toilet seat wasn’t attached properly and kept sliding sideways when one sat on it, and then the lid banged down on my back; the door to the bathroom/toilet wouldn’t stay shut when you weren’t inside it with the door locked and in stead swung wide open; the bottom sheet on the bed wasn’t big enough to tuck in properly so it kept coming off during the night; the window in the room was in a state of disrepair so we weren’t game to touch it to either close it properly or open it further.

it was in Haymarket so good location. the receptionist was friendly and helpful

no heating so was freezing. shower was terrible. very basic.

No lift No breakfast Tower room with twin beds, mattresses very uncomfortable need replacing, springs sticking in your back!!

Very poor

Sadly the whole room needs a makeover. Very old furniters and windows. The floor and the chair had a lot of stains and the water in the bathroom was dripping. Heating did not work, but the staff was helpful.

Fantastic location for getting to know the West End of Edinburgh, offering exclusive access to the Scots Guard Club adjoining! Beautiful room with gorgeous original features that make it a special experience. Perfect setting to rest up after seeing the sights.

Location was amazing, staff were very chilled and friendly, nice greeting, very organised and got me booked in quickly and swiftly when I arrived

Some of the items in the room needed some DIY, this didn't impact my stay, just things that I noticed

Not a good experience

Beautiful plasterwork ceiling .Very spacious - huge bathroom. Very convenient for Haymarket station.

The room hadn’t been cleaned. The vertical blinds didn’t fit so lights shone in from building opposite all night and there was no privacy. The bathroom window didn’t fit at the bottom. The stair carpet was dangerously frayed at the edges of the steps.

Location is excellent!

Window could not been securely closed or locked at all (more or less ground floor!) and the bathroom shower included the whole bathroom (suitable for disabled). All good - but the main drain on the floor was so blocked that after a short shower the whole bathroom was flooded and wouldn't go for hours. Meaning really wet feet anytime you wanted to have a wee or your teeth brushed... we had to use a towel to prevent it from entering the main room.

shower sealant was mouldy and there was no shampoo or shower gel so didn’t have a shower in the morning. (mini bar of soap provided but no use to me)

good budget hotel

The hotel is near the main road, train station, bus stops and tram. You can take a bus or tram straight to Edinburgh airport. Staff is very helpful.
