I slept very well, the location was fabulous and the breakfast was delicious and there was a great variety; beautiful display. There was always a treat, tea and juice available on the reception floor.
Generally, I was happy with all but I wished the hotel would have helped more with bags upon arrival. We had to go all the way up to reception with luggage to find out our rooms, get keys and then go down once we had them. At no time were we offered help. I was traveling with 8 women most of whom were older than me and although it wasn’t an issue for me, I think it should be offered.

The Pendini is a very stylish boutique hotel located on the fourth floor of an architecturally imposing building overlooking the Piazza della Repubblica. The entrance is in an approach road to the square and access to the hotel is via a staircase, but thankfully there are also two lifts.
We arrived by train and it is an easy walk to the hotel from the railway station. The location of the hotel is very convenient to get to all the major sites of the city and the streets around the hotel are filled with high-end fashion shops.
We had a large room overlooking the square with a very comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. The air-conditioning was very efficient.

There is no facility for making tea or coffee in the room, although drinks are provided in the lobby.
Though through no fault of the hotel, there was a great deal of noise coming from the square in the evening, principally because a nearby restaurant liked to play their music at very high volume (sufficient to penetrate the room even when the window was closed). For those who like to retire to bed early, this will be a serious inconvenience as the music doesn’t stop until after midnight. Furthermore, the quality of the music is extremely dire. But we felt it was worth putting up with this because the room was so pleasant, but quieter rooms are probably available if you don’t want a spectacular view.

Location is perfect; Staff members are very helpful and excellent.
NOISE NOISE NOISE. Our room facing the piazza is very noisy. The lousy and noisy music won’t stop until 0030 am (with happy birthday tunes going on for half an hour at full blast).

The location is absolutely wonderful, right in the centre of town. The historic building is a sight to behold and it feels great to stay in a piece of history. The air con is great and the beds are comfy. Wisly was a very kind individual at breakfast and very helpful, much more than can be said for the rest of the staff.
Breakfast was disappointing. A lot of staff are very rude. There’s a fair bit of noise from the square at all time of day and until about midnight from musicians and performers in the square. Not excessive but do take some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. No fridge in the room. Just not worth the money. The old building has its drawbacks with noise transmitted quite easily through the wooden floors, particularly if you’re in room 307-309 which are below the breakfast room.
