OCEANFRONT Avon- Kinnakeet Shores CANARY SINGS, perched on Kinnakeet Shores' oceanfront, boasts spacious, open, bright oceanfront living in the heart of Avon. The great room’s cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling wall of windows overlook the Atlantic Ocean offering spectacular views and memorable sunrises. Extras include: a loft with large flat screen TV, desk and views of sunset skies; extensive decks with built-in benches and plenty of furnishings for the group to kick back and relax or layout in the bright sun; abundant cool ceramic tile; a well-planned kitchen with upscale appliances and granite countertops with a breakfast bar providing lots of space for preparing meals; a dining area with stunning ocean views and slider to a covered soundside porch with built-in bench and picnic table; and fun beachy furnishing themes throughout. All 5 bedrooms (including 2 king master bedrooms) face the sea and provide slider access to the oceanfront deck, lulling guests into pleasant slumber with ocean breezes, salty air, and sounds of the surf. Not only is this home mere steps from the beach offering the easiest of beach access, but also walking distance to the Avon Fishing Pier and Pangea restaurant. A significant number of guests know this house as their annual vacation home, some for close to 20 years. Come and find out why CANARY SINGS, again and again, does not disappoint. New for 2023: New king mattresses and Smart TVs in two bedrooms. New for 2022: Guest access to the Kinnakeet Shores Pool and Tennis Courts now available. New refrigerator and dishwasher. New king mattress toppers in two bedrooms. (2 masters) 1 king, 1 king, 1 king, 2 sets of bunks, 2 single, 1 full futon (in loft) Full linens including sheets (with beds made), bath towels, hand towels, washcloths provided May 18 - August 30, 2024. Additional linens and towels available for rent. - Non-smoking - 5 Flat screen TVs (digital cable) - DVD players - 55" home theater system - Books and games - Grill - gas - Basketball hoop (bring your own balls) - Fish cleaning table with water and lights - 2 Outdoor showers - Electronic keyless door lock - WiFi - Community pool and tennis court - 6-8 Person hot tub -Pillows and blankets - Welcome bag - Dog-friendly *Guests have access to Kinnakeet Shores Pool & Tennis courts. You will sign in with the attendant using the house name. Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized. This property is managed by Surf or Sound Realty. More payment options available after booking. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-refundable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. *You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. We absolutely LOVED our stay and hated to leave today! The location is phenomenal! The kitchen, living room & dining area are very functional, spacious & comfortable! The home is well laid out with AMAZING ocean views from EVERY room! We will be back!

We had a perfect stay in this house. Plenty of room with a view of the ocean that was magnificent. We had perfect weather all week and enjoyed the hot tub daily and loved the large porch to drink our morning coffee on and read a book or books in my case!

Would recommend to anyone. Beatiful location, home and view. Some small flooding last 2 days but didn't interfere with our stay. Couple that was supposed to join us cancelled last minute but actually made stay more enjoyable. I appreciate the communication from Surf and Sound Realty. They were great. Next year Wrightsville Beach. I lived there before Hugo wiped it out. Best place i ever lived.

We rented this house for the Christmas week. Upon arrival all seemed well, but after a bit of time, we found that a lot was lacking. There was an overall lack of preparedness for our arrival. After one day, we ran out of propane. We only used the fireplace to discover this first issue. We contacted Surf or Sound, the rental management company, and they had someone come out the next day to replenish the propane. The gentleman who filled our 100 pound tank told us that this happens every week and they didn’t understand why there was such a small tank for a house that ran the fireplace, stove and oven on propane. He offered to come back in a few days to top off the tank since we would be there all week. We used the bbq for the first few nights, so it wasn’t until the 21st of December that we discovered that our oven didn’t work. We left a message and Surf or Sound had a repair man out the next day. The repair man found that the oven was inoperable, due to the fact that it was lighting itself, without being turned on. But he told us we could still use the stove so long as we lit it with a match. Surf or Sound told us that the could not get us a new oven due to the fact that we were ‘on an island’ and that it was a holiday week. I had a hard time with this for two reasons. One, it’s just a small bridge that separates this from the ‘mainland’ and two, we passed a Lowe’s right before crossing that bridge. Add to that, they should have repair parts and/or appliances for a company that supposedly represents hundreds of properties. They did offer to move us, but by that time we were three days into a 7 day stay, and we had carried up all of the necessary food, clothes, games, presents etc needed for a Christmas week stay. We chose not to move. Surf or Sound did bring us a crock pot, table top oven toaster and a hot plate. This did not work out well for the prime rib roast that we brought for Christmas dinner. Short list of issues: no outlet power in bathroom,plugged shower drain,drawers falling out,oven,stove,washer leaking,main breaker tripping,etc. Surf or Sound only offered $100 refund for these, and more, issues. That is unacceptable for a week of no oven or stove for a family of 6. We have called numerous times since, and still can’t get in touch with the office manager nor have we received ANY compensation at this time. I’d advise against renting ANY property that is managed by Surf or Sound.

Family Christmas Getaway
Our stay here was wonderful. The view is spectacular. Everything in the house was wonderful. My bed (master on main floor) was so comfy. Loved that everyone had access to the decks from their bedrooms. The fireplace stopped working but someone was sent out right away to take care of it. My only complaint was the top oven not heating or working properly. The only thing I wished this property had was an elevator....lots of stairs. The TV and audio system was great. I was able to hook up my fire stick with no problem and played my music through the system speakers via Bluetooth. I highly recommend this place.
