Property was in a good location to explore Saumur. The lovely courtyard was peaceful and a nice place to enjoy breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

So quaint, and the couple who ran the hotel were absolutely the best. I can't say enough about how accommodating and welcoming they were. The continental breakfast was lovely, and you could eat in the dining room or the beautiful courtyard.
No surprise, but there is no air conditioning and we were visiting at the start of the heat wave. But they did provide fans for the room, which not all places do! Also, no dedicated parking, though there was a free lot just down the street.

The owners were super friendly. The property and room were excellent - typically French. Street parking was free and directly opposite. The breakfasts were great too. Directly near the Chateau too. Would book again.

Convenient to walk into Saumur. Not noisy. Easy free parking on street right outside.
I contacted the property to request an early check in but they didn’t reply although they dis reply about parking which was in the same message. I accept that some places can’t give an early check in but a reply would be appreciated. We waited until 5 pm.
The host told us breakfast was at 8.30 earliest although did allow us 8.15.
The room was large with a sitting area. No bottles of water. No fridge. No tea making facilities. One bottle wash product to share between basin and shower.
It was cold on entry although did heat up once wed but the radiators on.
The bar downstairs wasn’t open during our stay.
Shabby chic at best I think.
Breakfast was one croissant and some bread each served with butter and jam in a bowl. Yoghurt pots and whole fresh fruit.
It felt expensive for what it is. Ok if you like old buildings with decor to match I’m sure.
