Rome is an amazing city. The hotel's location is excellent with much to see within walking distance. This hotel overlooks old Roman ruins where several temples once stood which really adds a nice touch.
A big plus is the excellent staff at this hotel.
Rome is an old city and this hotel is part of a structure that is 600 years old. Given that historical preservation is a big deal in Rome and rightfully so given its magnificent architecture, most hotels including this one may seem a bit tight on space. Also, there is no elevator in the hotel so be prepared to treck your luggage 4 flights of stairs to the entrance. The hotel staff does assist with luggage, if necessary.

Location superb, staff extremely friendly and helpful
The property in on the third floor with no lift and many steps to negotiate. Staff were extremely helpful in aiding us to carry luggage up and down though initially we carried it up one of the three floors ourselves. On one occasion our return late was delayed because one of the hotel bells seemed not to be working. Nothing is said about these stairs in your description
'Good breakfast' in description suggests a served breakfast with fresh bread or croissants. Only close reading of small print discloses longlife breakfast items are amassed in baskets in the room ( much reducing available surfaces) and in its fridge ( leaving little room for water) . As another reviewer noted these include a wide range of snacks which could be eaten by guests who did not appreciate the cuisine of the excellent nearby Roman restaurants, but for us a small amount of fresh bread and croissants would have been preferable

Everything. We were two ladies 78 and 81. Very close to everything in historical rome center. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of a bldg but they come down to street level and carry your suitcases up for you. It’s a very quirky hotel. We absolutely loved it. There were more complimentary snacks than 2 people could eat in a wk. staff is very accommodating. Did i say we loved it. The rooms are on the small side which we knew when we booked. We had 2 twin beds

The location was wonderful and the staff was great. But the room was so small we couldn’t open our carry ons if it wasn’t on the bed, so we had to have them next to our night stand closed. Breakfast was in the room!! There was a shelf which was like a pantry and a mini fridge stocked with hotdogs, cheese and other things (I was appalled that the profile of this hotel said excellent breakfast included. Walls so thin, that if one person woke up at 6 am for an early start, it woke us all up. Expensive price as well… over 700€ for 4 nights. I will not return.
