Staying in the heart of the sassi was fantastic and everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. The accommodation was beautiful, so much breakfast and beverages supplied it felt like home. Best of all was our incredible host Savio. From the moment he collected us at the bus stop we felt like part of his family. He showed us his town with so much pride and took us on an amazing excursion to see the sunset over the town. He helped us to organise our time in Matera and advised us on where to eat and what to do to make our experience more pleasant. I cannot recommend this accommodation more highly. Thank you Savio! I hope we will meet again one day.

An Unforgettable Experience — Truly 11 out of 10
I have stayed in many wonderful places around the world, but this experience in Matera stands out as one of the very best. The accommodation itself was impeccable: beautifully maintained, comfortable, full of character, and perfectly integrated into the magical atmosphere of the Sassi.
The location could not have been better. Waking up in the heart of the ancient Sassi of Matera was an extraordinary experience, with breathtaking views and easy access to every corner of this unique UNESCO World Heritage site.
What made our stay truly exceptional, however, was the owner. His hospitality went far beyond anything we have ever experienced. He spent more than three hours personally driving us around Matera, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the history, culture, and architecture of the Sassi. His knowledge, passion, generosity, and genuine desire to ensure we had the best possible experience transformed a wonderful stay into an unforgettable one.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and treated like friends rather than guests. Every recommendation was perfect, every detail thoughtfully considered, and nothing was too much trouble.

Savio was an exceptional host from start to finish. From the moment we booked our stay, he communicated with us promptly and made us feel welcome. He met us at the train station, drove us to the apartment, and gave us a thorough tour when we arrived. He had the refrigerator and kitchen stocked with thoughtful treats, which was such a wonderful surprise and made us feel right at home. This was by far the best accommodation we've stayed in during our travels. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay at least one more night in Matera. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
