About this cabin rental
Located in Lake Vermilion, this lovely cabin for $200 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This cabin is located on an island on a private lot with 450 ft. of shoreline. The cove is protected from the wind. The one-bedroom cabin has a queen-sized bed, there is a queen-sized fold out couch in the family room. The apartment sized stove and refrigerator comes with a fully equipped kitchen, that include: coffeemaker, microwave, blender, toaster, dishes and cooking utensils, pots and pans, and a deep fryer. Since this has a lake water system, some drinking water is provided. The family room features an electric fireplace and a handcrafted table and chairs. There is plenty of storage in several large roomy closets. Sheets, and dishwashing linens are there for your use. You should bring your own towels and bath soap. The cabin has air conditioning. Outside on the deck is a propane grill and a table, additional chairs are usually down by the fire pit. A large woodpile is ready for your use! There is an outside outlet on the deck for those fishermen needing to charge their boat batteries. A handy little cart is available to move your belongings to and from the cabin! Pets are welcome as long as they are kept under control and yard mess is moved to the woods.We ask that owners crate their pet if they are left alone. The cabin has a beautiful view out the front windows, and is surrounded by mature pines. The rental period is from May 1st (provided ice is out) to Mid- October. The cabin was even nicer than the description and pictures. It had everything we needed for a quick fall fishing trip. Tom's communications were very timely and helpful.

This was a great cabin for my wife and I (and our dog). The cabin was better than the pictures showed! Very clean with updated flooring and exterior. Full size tub and shower, which is rare for a small cabin. It was in a bay that is protected from the wind and seems more remote than it is. Its a short boat ride from the access point so easy to go int town if needed. We would definitely stay there again.

North Country Island Cabin
Awesome island cabin getaway on awesome lake. The location is the perfect blend of easy to access and seclusion. The scenery from the deck with morning coffee couldn’t be better. Great mid lake location for sightseeing or fishing. Caught walleye from the dock. The owners were great to work with and very courteous. The cabin has been well taken care of and everything was in great working order. There are a few inconveniences that come along with a remote cabin like a lake water system, smaller but adequate heating and a/c, and smaller space. But the owners do everything to help with that. They provide a bubbler for drinking water, electric space heaters, window a/c, all necessary kitchen appliances, and free firewood within reason which is pretty cool. Being near well maintained access was comforting in case of emergency or the need for a quick run for supplies. All in all a great spot for a secluded fishing getaway.

Adorable Cozy Island Cabin!
This adorable cozy island cabin on Lake Vermilion was perfect for two of us. It was clean, well appointed (nice decor), and with an open floor plan very comfortable. Nice lake view and very peaceful. The bay is sheltered so boat was safe from wind and rough waves. Only downside was we couldn’t get any tv reception. But the Bluetooth player was great for watching movies. Owner was very easy to work with, too. Definitely want to return!!

Amazing island cabin on Lake Vermilion
My son and I spent 9 nights at the cabin on Grove Island and it was perfect. Tom reached out several times to make sure everything was good for us and ask if we needed anything. I’ve been going to Vermilion for 36 years and our time at the cabin was as good as any trip I’ve taken to the lake.

Perfect getaway!
We are a family accustomed to camping, but looking for a setting with a few more amenities for a week-long stay. This cabin was a good match for us! We rented a boat (from Moccasin Marine) for fishing and brought our own paddleboard. We loved sitting up on the deck and lounging on the dock, and between the two there was always both sun and shade available. A very brief paddle just to the edge of the little bay allowed for the most amazing sunset viewing every night!
The cabin had everything we needed. We were concerned the pull-out couch might not be comfortable for our two teen boys, but they slept just fine. The vaulted ceiling and open floor plan made the space feel plenty big. Our two dogs also enjoyed their time, and being on an island made us less concerned that they would wander far.
Tom was responsive and very helpful before and during our stay. Everything went very smoothly and we would love to return!

Perfect for a get away for a couple or small family
Perfect getaway for the long weekend. The cabin has everything you need, even dried firewood. I would highly recommend this cabin for 2-4 people or 2 adults and children.

The new fire pit was great. We used it every night. We were lucky enough to catch a show of the Northern Lights. Cabin faces North with an outstanding view over of the water.
Fortune Bay Casino is a quick trip about 12 mile down Hwy 77 and is always fun for a night. Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park is a must do especially if you have kids. The cabin may be on an island but there is no shortage of things to see and do.

Excellant property.
We stayed for a long weekend at the cabin and had a great time. Tom was always in contact with us, wanting to know if everything was going well and how the fishing was. I sent maps of the lake for the best fishing spots and we did very good at catching fish. Really enjoyed our stay and will for sure go back. Thank you.

This was our second stay here and it was perfect. The cabin is clean and well equipped. The dock is level with the yard so no steps to go up and down. The owner was excellent to work with. Would like to come back.

We had a great time at the cabin! It was clean and had everything you need. We spent the days fishing and boating. The lake was beautiful! Our dogs loved swimming and jumping off the dock. We loved it and will definitely go back.

This is a very nice little cabin in a secluded bay, with private dock, only a few hundred yards from a public boat landing. Property is well maintained and very "north Woodsy".
