great place close to the beach

beautiful set up. a little bit too crowded with the yoga classes, surf classes, etc…

Very good

The hotel does not have parking, only on the street. There is no shampoo or hair dryer in the bathroom, the hotel is not dog friendly.

Great place to stay for Surf & Yoga in Sopelana

Very modern facilities, comfortable rooms, excellent Yoga instructor, surfing equipment + lessons. Would love to stay there again

cool vibes, but expensive

We liked the relaxed atmosphere & facilities. The 10 min walk to the beach is not as nice, but the two beach options have a beautiful setting. The surf course was good. The daily yoga session as well. The underground skate board area is brilliant. The area is very quite. We took three meals per day & really like the cook’s creativity.

The staff was not very helpful & it was not very clear for newcomers to understand what works how. The rooms have no windows (we stayed with two people in the 8-person room) and the air condition did not work well. We did not sleep well with the sticky conditions & cannot imagine sharing the room with 8 in summer. The spa was only available for one hour. I did not receive any receipt for the extra services we booked, like meals & surfing lesson.

An amazing place, with lots of activities and facilities. Really nice vibe and close to the beach.

The breakfast was really yummy! Lots of options. The lady at the main reception was very helpful and friendly, she helped me book a taxi to the airport. The free yoga and surf-skate lesson was really fun and met lots of great people.

There was one waitress who was rude to me because I couldn't speak Spanish. But all the other kitchen staff were really lovely.

Superb

Modern and quiet environment that offers yoga and surfing classes. We had a great time to rest and refresh. Food is really good and well priced.

Rooms are tiny, but perfect if you just go there to rest / sleep.

Good place to stay near the beach with good staff

We enjoyed our stay and the location was good to the beach while we waited for the ferry back to UK. We stayed two days as a family of 5 in an 8 bed room. Spa we booked was very good and staff were lovely.

Breakfast was a little lacking in quality and food, no bowls when I wanted cereal so used coffee mugs. Some seating would be nice in the bedroom.

The staff is friendly, helpful and flexible. Location is perfect - 10 min walk to the surf beach.

I slept in a single room and in a shared room during my 2-week stay. The single room was exceptional. Very quiet and daily cleaned. If you go there for surfing, you have outdoor showers and can hang your wetsuits outside. The staff was great and the food in the restaurant provides healthy and vegetarian options. Moana is perfectly located - 10 min walk to the surf beach, 10 min walk to the metro to Bilbao (25 minutes - 1,95 EUR).

The shared room was a little tiny (10 beds in a small room) and the bathroom situation could be improved (there were two additional bathrooms on the corridor, that were filthy especially at the end of the day). Further, you have no possibility to cook yourself or store foods that need to be cooled. Signing up for all meals in the restaurant can be a little pricey in the end (compared to cooking yourself).

beautiful and relaxing getaway spot

the property was absolutely beautiful and relaxing and quite close to the beach and the free breakfast was quite extensive.

they were a bit disorganized. there were no sockets next to beds and no sheets/blankets for my bed when I got there. additionally, there was a bit of a mix-up around the surf lesson I booked, so I would say the communication was a little poor.

Perfect. Amazing food, lovely people and a gorgeous beach just minutes away.

A beautiful place to relax, minutes away from the beach. Absolutely delicious food. The staff are fantastic - friendly, helpful and kind.

Surfing, scenery, spa comforts, culinary delights

Fantastic modern, beautiful woods, clean, and a short walk to the beach. Thanks especially to the cook Paul who was very kind (and served up delicious meals!)

Why no laundry machine? :( I had to waste hours walking into the village and waiting for my laundry at a random place.

Disappointing, not very ‘eco’

The property itself is nice, staff were friendly

Breakfast very disappointing and seemed totally contradictory to the ‘eco’ brand. Very limited for vegans, or anyone who wants to eat healthily - cheap sugary cereal, basic fruit, ham, cheese, bad coffee and cheap bread (not a great start for the day!). In general the place seemed aimed at people with a car, again contradicting the eco brand - very limited info offered when we asked about getting to beaches without a car and options to rent bikes (would be good if they had some available to rent). The yoga class was unsuitable for mixed abilities and the space did not work well as people were walking through and guests were having to help move furniture before and after. There is a fire in the communal area but I was told it was not in use. Overall this place is disappointing and needs a lot of improvements.
