Lovely pub in a very convenient location for getting to Oxford. There is a brilliant park and ride 12 mins drive away (Redbridge) which only costs £3.40 for the day using RingGo. For breakfast, you can choose different options from the menu, it was a big meal to start the day off - very nice and freshly cooked. The deluxe room we had was a very nice size with an ensuite bathroom.
Not the fault of Chequers at Burcot, but the lorries which zoom past between 10pm to midnight can be quite noisy and don't stick to the 30 mph limit. Beds were too firm for my liking but that is down to preference.

Stopped off here for a night on our way south for a wedding and what a wonderful place. Our hosts Mac, Kim and Madmaddy gave us a perfect welcome after a long drive from the North West. The room was a converted barn which was hot but fine, but the restaurant, food and service were impeccable.
Thanks to all for a very memorable stay, good luck to Madmaddy on her upcoming podcast “sort your life out” and to Mac & Km on their recent engagement.

Beautiful surroundings, great food and drink choices, very comfortable and clean bed, under floor heating
Bathroom was not very clean - skirting area dusty, cobwebs, mirror in bathroom rusted and dusty, floor and wall near shower stained from constant sloashing from shower. Some areas on the walls been filled and painted- paint is different colour
