Situated in Tamarindo, this attractive condo for $89 per night is a great option for your next vacation. 3rd floor studio Located on a quiet hilltop in Tamarindo with spectacular ocean and forest views, Casa Bambora is a complex/villa just 5 minutes walk from the main strip in Tamarindo where you can find a wide variety of restaurants, stores, nightlife and more and is just 10 minutes walk from world famous Tamarindo beach. All alone on the 3rd floor here at Casa Bambora, this studio is very private and quiet and is available nightly, weekly or monthly, accommodates 2 people and is equipped with a full kitchen, AC, 32' HD TV with cable, wireless Internet, large bathroom with with large shower and hot water, king size bed and private balcony that wraps around all 4 sides of the room. Up on the fourth floor of the complex is a shared furnished observation deck with an amazing 360 degree view, great for coffee in the morning while enjoying the spectacular ocean views and wide variety of birds that visit frequently, or a cold drink while enjoying the amazing sunsets over Tamarindo bay! Down on the first floor is Casa Bambora's bar with a shared fully equipped kitchen and BBQ area, this is where the guests enjoy spending the majority of their time socializing and cooking up the catch of the day, or just relaxing to the soothing sound of the waterfall at the pool which is surrounded by a tropical garden with plenty of hammocks and chairs to lounge around in. Guests at Casa Bambora also have access to onsite parking and myself and staff here at Casa Bambora will try to make you feel right at home and are happy to give you advice about anything you need to know about the area, best restaurants, tours and places to visit. Having bought the property in 1992, I was able to have the pick of the best view lots in Tamarindo with the easiest and closest walk to town. Casa Bambora is just high enough to see over the treetops and is one of the only lots in Tamarindo with unobstructed views of the San Francisco Estuary in the Las Baulas National Park as well as spectacular ocean views that span Playa Langosta, Tamarindo and Playa Grande. If your looking for an affordable place in a tropical paradise with beautiful beaches and great surf, Casa Bambora is a great choice!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bambora. The views from our wrap around balcony and especially the rooftop were amazing. It was so great to be able to sit on the roof at sunrise and listen to the monkeys and birds, as well as watching sunsets and the night sky. The pool was perfect for a dip and cocktail after a day at the beach. Joey was a great host, and having him onsite was really nice. The walk up and down the hill to town was a little challenging at times, but being so close to the center of everything once you got down the hill was perfect. Our group of gals in our 60's managed it just fine. A couple nights when we dressed for dinner we took an Uber back, which was a quick, easy and inexpensive way to go. Overall it was a fabulous stay!

We loved our stay with Joey at Casa Bambora. It is a beautiful home on one of the tallest spots in the Tamarindo area. There are amazing views from the rooftop patio. Very kind guests and hosts with great common area kitchen and pool. Our room had everything we needed. We loved our time there!

My experience was great from the start , Joey answered all my many questions very timely and accurately. He was always responding within 30 minutes it seemed. Excellent communication, he also let me bring my dog. He has two cool dogs as well and one is a little more territorial, Joey even went as far as to put his more territorial dog inside his house as to give my dog some space . Was very accommodating and was able to give me an extra night when I asked if I’d be able to stay an additional night . I had the third floor, which had great ocean views of the sunset , and was very big and clean with wrap around balcony with views all around. The shower was big and had plenty of light in the bathroom .When I moved to a different room (2nd floor) for my final additional night , the room was very similar setup to the third floor. The fridge was a little smaller and the room was a little bit tighter with a bit less room , but was still adequate. The shower was a bit smaller too and the bathroom had a good bit less light and the tile in the bathroom was a bit dark so I had problems seeing well in the shower , but all was very clean. The shower could use a light as an improvement.Toilet had to hold the handle down to flush but wasn’t a real issue. Joey was around to chat with and I did so about his time and mine in Costa Rica, he also gave me plenty of space. He has cameras so you can feel safe knowing he can watch cameras and keep the place safe. The pool was nice , waterfall as well(though the waterfall is getting repaired so didn’t run all day.) beautiful gardens and plants , jungle atmosphere! I also used the gas grill twice and cooked big meals in the outdoor kitchen which was great!
All in all great experience and I should be returning in August for another stay while in the area in business. Very affordable and a great value. 👍🏼

Perfect getaway
Wow what a great place. The room was cozy and Joey was a perfect host. The pool was so refreshing and really loved the seats at the top of the waterfall. The roof had the best views where many different types of birds came to visit. It was a short drive or walk to the shops, Restaurants, market, and beach. The only thing was that it was difficult to find initially because all the roads are named but none are marked.

The best!
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with unlimited fun and excitement 10 min walk away, this is your spot. This was our 1st visit to Costa Rica and somehow, we lucked out by booking with Joey. The pool and waterfall on site, the common kitchen/BBQ, the clean comfortable rooms, the trail through the jungle as a 10 min walk to town, all of it! Even got an outstanding massage on site for next to nothing! Oh ya, we are going back. Joey even gave great reccomendations for dining, exploring and towns to visit during our stay. And to top it off, we made new friends with his 2 wonderful well behaved dogs. Thank you so much!

Beautiful Oasis in Tamarindo
Joey was an excellent host and the property is beautiful and well maintained, loved the pool and rooftop space. Because it sits high on a hill, the views were great. It was also very quiet at night.
For us it was a little far to walk into town so we drove. Thanks for a fabulous week, Joey!

Our pleasure at Joey's was magnified by getting the honeymoon suite filled with view-laden windows.
Each day, we rested in a quiet room complete with breakfast bar, sitting area, comfortable bed, soft towels and a well-equipped kitchen on a clean, well-kept property with fabulous common areas.
Arriving fatigued and stressed out from our professional lives, the residential calm at Casa Bambora (CB) with its roof-top sunrise and sunset views (perfect spot for yoga, bird watching, a day-ending toast, or just losing track of time), refreshing pool, soft hammocks, communal kitchen and manageable hike to town, rejuvenated both of us.
We enjoyed the other guests (shout out to Mary and Eddie) and loved having the owner on site for the added bonus of his exquisite hospitality.
We could have easily spent our 9 nights in Costa Rica at CB with a hike/walk to town or the beach and all that Tamarindo has to offer--we recommend renting a board for $10 at The Longosta Beach Club, which we accessed by foot on Playa Longosta and luxuriating at Pangas Beach Club over sparkling wine and Plato Mixto Mariscos.

We were really impressed with the property. Joey, Jared and Jenn were very welcoming and helpful for what ever we needed or what ever we asked they would have a great answer for us. We would recommend this property. The facility was clean, the pool spectacular, the parrots in the trees just beautiful, wish we were still there. The dogs were great, little Ricco what a wonderful dog, wanted to bring him home with us. Can hardly wait to visit Costa Rica again and stay at this great facility Thanks

Exactly as advertised !
We loved our accommodation! (Ground level studio). It was spacious, well equipped, comfortable king bed, good A/C, and adequate privacy, The common area consisted of a very nice pool, shaded and sunny areas, and very well equipped kitchen. Joey is a good host, approachable at any time. Jenn/Jerrod, (caretakers) were both so friendly and helpful in their knowledge of the area. Casa Bambora is well situated to the town site (easy walking distance). We would definitely stay here again.

Casa Bambora- Paradise on the hill
My wife and I stayed here December 19 th to the 28 th. We can't think of one thing that would have made our stay better. Everything we need and more was on the property. There are only a few units for rent and Joey the owner lives on site and is available for any needs or questions you may have. Upon arrival he gives you a quick run through of the place then leaves you alone for the rest of your stay. Much appreciated. It is so quiet and peaceful far enough away from downtown too hear the noise but also close enough to be in town in about a five minute walk on a path cut through the bush. About ten minutes by road. We had the top floor studio apartment which has amazing views in every direction. Every morning we enjoyed coffee on our balcony watching iguanas , parrots and many other birds . You might even see the howler monkeys which you can always hear and are close by. The property is very safe with locks on both doors and locks on the gates of the compound. We walked through the bush and down the roads at night and never felt unsafe at all. The area by the pool has a bar and kitchen with stove and bbq available for use if you don't want to cook in your apartment or have guests. The pool and grounds are extremely clean due to the young man who comes in every morning. Our apartment was very clean and comfortable with plenty of very hot water. Above our apartment there is a roof top deck which is a great place to have a drink and watch the sun go down and has amazing views of the whole area and ocean. It is so quiet here. There were other guests but we rarely saw or heard them. Take the path down the hill and you run into some good restaurants and a grocery store. Overall we had a fantastic experience at Casa Bambora . We will be staying here again in future trips to Tamarindo.

Great property, owner is on site and takes care of all requests. The trail he made offers easy walking access to town in 5 mins or 10 to the beach. Definitely recommend to anyone coming here.

Great stay
My husband and I recently stayed at Casa Bambora during our recent trip to Tamarindo and already cannot wait to return. It is located at the top of the hill which offers a beautiful view of sunset and ocean from the top observatory deck. The room was very nice and comfortable with a well equipped kitchenette, spacious bathroom and great air conditioning. The pool was by far our favorite part of the facility. We made full use of the waterfall with lounger and bar area complete with frosted glasses ready for afternoon cocktails! There was also a great path that lead you right into town which made navigating really easy. Joey was friendly and attentive and made us feel right at home! We will definitely we returning on our next stay to Costa Rica.

Fantastic trip!!!
Casa Bambora was wonderful...I loved everything about it!!! The condo was perfect for 2 people, had everything that we needed and if it didn't Joey was more than willing to get it for us. It was quiet, had beautiful views, nice pool, great short-cut trail to town...I didn't feel like I was on vacation, I actually felt like I lived there...felt right at home!!!
Joey (and company) couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly and just laid back...he gave us lots of helpful information and we used every bit...places to go-eat/drink, grocery stores, money exchange-pricing,tours to use (he recommended Native Ways and they were awesome). And when we had an issue totally unrelated to the accommodations he so kindly helped us out...Thanks Joey!!!
P.S. the pool/common area is also a great part of the condo...it could be private or a nice place to hang w/Joey and other guests!!! Can't wait to go back...sooner then later hopefully!!!

Out of the way
Sorry the people were nice but at age 65 it is not easy to climb to top of that hill with the temps of Costa Rica . We had to cancel . Joey was very disappointed and it was not his fault . You get what you pay for . It is. 8 mins. Walk to the beach downhill but you do have to walk back up.

Great quiet place near Taramindo beach!
Casa Bambora is in a nice quiet area very close to Tamarindo beach! Jared welcomed us the nite of our arrival even at our late hour! Joey was helpful arranging anything we needed as was Jared. His wife Jen had just gotten her wisdom teeth out but she is usually available to take you anywhere you want to go. Nice pool but no around pool if that is what you are looking for! We enjoyed our stay and absolutely loved Costa Rica!! Thanks Joey Jared and Jen!

A real find!
Casa Bambora is a gem sitting above Tamarindo with spectacular views and a peaceful vibe. Our guest room was perfectly appointed with everything we needed for a week of relaxation and the bed was comfortable. The pool and courtyard were the perfect place to relax and cool off. Joey Is an awesome host and along with Jen and Jared, they all made us feel very welcome.
