Book it.

It was a super cute location! It was modern, sleek and clean. Our room was small and perfect for a little one-day staycation. We tried the roof top restaurant and had a wonderful experience. It turned into a particularly cold Sunday evening and the receptionist at the restaurant, Sasha, gave me a blanket. The food was delicious and the customer service was top tier.

I would not recommend this hotel for anyone in the future my experience wasn’t good !

The room was very small and tight , the Wi-Fi didn’t work/ bad signal , they inform you that breakfast is served from 6-10am and that the hotel will give you a credit of 25$ to use ……. But what they won’t tell you is that they 25 $ isn’t free or complementary it comes from your 100 incidental fee.

The staff were nice & helpful.

Mediocre

I loved the comfortable spacious room, I really loved the restroom.

The drinks at the bar were bad, no free chips and guac is ridiculous, the menu was over priced, the view from the hotel is nothing but a building next door. Overpriced for the bare minimum, beds were hard.

It was okay, but we wouldn’t revisit.

The bed was very comfortable. Good water pressure in shower. Great tacos at the restaurant. Common areas were really beautiful. Staff was nice.

The a/c was insanely loud when it turned off and on. We upgraded to the top floor but were woken up early by all the restaurant noise above us. Breakfast was undercooked. There was also no small refrigerator for food/beverages.

Disappointing Overall Stay

I was very excited to stay in this beautiful hotel, but unfortunately we have been disappointed. The first room that was given to us was straight in front the elevator (even when I requested to be far away from it). The room had the view to a back alley full of AC systems that were extremely noisy. We were happy that the staff accommodated our request to change rooms to one much calmer. The second room was great. It was way more spacious, decoration was beautiful, bathroom was also very nice. The cleanliness of the room was spotless, and the bed extremely comfortable. Bathroom had everything needed - (it was missing some space for our toiletries). There is no parking at the hotel, but there are a few parking options walking distance.

Unfortunately, we didn't have hot water for the duration of our stay, and it was a massive inconvenience. We called reception, and they assured a maintenance person was looking into the situation, to give it 10 minutes for hot water to come back. We waited 30 minutes, turned on the water again and after 5 minutes of wasted running water, it was still as cold. We had to take a cold shower that night. We went about our night, celebrated the NYE. Coming back to the hotel, we wanted to shower before going to bed, but still no hot water (we are talking 6 hours after our complaint). The following morning (14h after complaining), still no hot water. We also had a $25 credit to use for breakfast, but most of the items were not available, we waited 30 minutes for our order to then be told that what we wanted was also out of stock! We decided to cancel our order out of frustration. There was only one person at the kitchen... Extremely disorganized/lack of staff considering the hotel was full for NYE and a college football game happening. We decided to talk to front desk at our checkout and get a refund on our room. Front desk was only willing to give us 20% discount, which we refused. We requested to talk to the manager that was not there yet. They gave us his business card. We called at 1:15 pm (they informed us his shift started at 1 pm), but he was not there yet. At around 1:30 pm, we received an email that our room had been fully refunded, which we appreciate. But then, they decided to revert back all the charges, and only apply the 20% discount. We truly wish our experience was different, as we liked the hotel, but we won't come back.

Oproti ceně, která je inzerovaná, zpoplatňuje hotel $25 za každý pokoj a noc navíc. Tato částka může být odečtena, pokud si objednáte v hotelu další útratu. Bohužel, my jsme měli zamluvené dva pokoje - ač jsme měli dodatečnou útratu na oba pokoje, hotel nám vrátil kredit pouze za jeden. Po reklamaci (emailem i přes booking.com) jsme už z hotelu nedostali žádné vyjádření. Klimatizace na pokoji je velmi hlasitá.

overall wouldn’t recommend

i liked the location of this hotel, it was central and convenient to reach our event. the rooms are decently clean and renovated. late check out was nice also.

paid parking ($30 a night) was a huge bummer and one of the main reasons we will probably not stay here or recommend it. (we get it, it’s overpriced LA but at least stand out and give guests the convenience of free parking) restaurant food was so overpriced and below average quality! we paid $150 for some pork chop banana dish, french fries and two beers! that was even after the comped $25 allowance they gave us at check in. they also gave us a 90 minute timer for dinner even though the restaurant was completely empty the entire time we sat there.

Nice location. Hilton level service and quality.

The room is relatively small for four people. We have to take turns to open up or luggage. Better expect a hostel when booking.

Good choice if you want to stay downtown. Pay attention to selection of the room.

Perfect location in Downtown LA. Hotel is in good shape and the style and quality of its finishing look tremendous.

When we arrived it seemed that our reservation though Booking.com is somehow lost. The crew organized the new one. We got very nice room but it seems it was the last one available as it was located on the lowest floor and facing backyard facilities (with no any view through shaded windows). It was quite noisy and smelly (with “traditional” Californian smoky smell). ;)

Very noisy!

The location is good! It’s kinda modern hotel.

The noisy, it was annoying. We changed rooms because of that and both of the rooms were horrible.

Nice but there needs to be improvements

The property is well maintained. Refurbished take on an old building. I love that they made a lot of updates. There’s valet and it was centrally located near things. I loved having the 25 comp. Lorenzo (front desk) was soo helpful because my first room was small and did not have a city view. The second one was bigger but still no city view. I felt Lorenzo really took care of me with all my questions and reservations mishaps. Manny at Lily Rose bar down stairs was amazing! he really knows his cocktails. I loved the live music with the black woman with the jazz band. At night there was security. The bed was super soft. The food at the cafe inside was tasty. I walked to the mall and the metro. I hope to be come back soon.

Please don’t sell city views if you can’t provide them. The windows need to be updated and sound proof. The bathroom shower door needs to be fixed because puddles of water keep leaking out. I had to order more towels to soak it up. The prices at the cafe were not the same as the menu shared by cashier. $8 for apple juice is crazy. Also, I was almost charged for valet when I didn’t even bring a car. The up charges are a bit much. They canceled my reservation at the bar the night before (I showed up on time) and I feel like guest should get first bids.
