Very good

Bets price on the time we were in Madeira we’ve booked at the time we landed and they arranged for us in short time.

Comfortable and well-equipped, perfect for our needs.

The studio apartment was perfect for our needs, comfortable, well-equipped, close to local shops and restaurants, and good value. The staff were very friendly and in particular Diomira was extremely helpful. It’s important to note that payment is in cash only, whatever you are told by booking.com or similar sites.

We have not given the very highest scores only because some of the decor was a little worn and the pool was very small, but we did not mind and were happy with everything.

it was very ideally situated and the view from the balcony was amazing

Just a lot of ants, leaving anything out in the kitchen we found it completely covered in ants. AC would have been great too as there was none

This was our favourite accomodation during our 5 week stay in Madeira.

A perfect location, handy to Funchal and well situated for exploring the eastern coast and many popular tourist attractions. Close to the Canico seafront with its beautiful promenade, with several restaurants, cafes and grocery markets nearby. The owner and staff were friendy and responsive to our needs. Parking on site was a welcome bonus.

Exceptional

Housekeeper is extremely nice and friendly and helpful! She made me feel very welcome and helped me with every question that i had. The place is in a beautiful town, not too far from airport. The ocean view in the terrace and the pool, the sunbeds to share with other guests.

Sound insulation is a little poor. A lot of ants trying to find something sweet in the kitchen. Ants are everywhere in the island. So you just have to accept it.

Great place

Great location with shops, bars and restaurants nearby. A very good base to discover the island. The accommodation was roomy (but we had been upgraded from a studio upon arrival), big bed, sea view from the terrace, comfy living room with kitchen. The Canico Bay Club is well maintained, very clean and has a swimming pool (we did not use it as it's not that warm in January).

My main gripe is hot water: the boiler being so small, it's impossible to fill the bathtub with hot water, it's barely enough for two to take a shower.. Bed was a tad bit stiff for my liking but I slept well though. Furniture is outdated but functional.

Pleasant

The restaurant's around easy to get about.

It was very noisy the bath tub didn't work no plug the fridge didn't work properly and the cooker top wasn't also working properly . The rent a car place across the road would bring there car outside our bedroom window all different times early later and you could hear everything.

Great place to stay

Good sea view from balcony and shops restaurants and cafes nearby. The apartment was spacious and clean with plenty of storage.

The pool not big enough. The late night noise from the bar across the road hindered our sleep.

Great place to stay for a relaxing week away.

Great location with several restaurants within walking distance. Spacious apartment with nice terrace and sea view (to either side of the hotel in front). Staff very friendly and helpful. Furniture and decor a little dated and well used but very clean.

Nothing springs to mind. Everything was pretty much as we expected.

Not recommend

The only good impression is that this place is in the center

The room looks like they didn't do proper cleaning for very log time, smell of cigarette is terrible.. View is absent - instead of view you have building under construction right in front of your window with terrible noise (photo of the view). And of course they didn't return the money..

Superb

Lovely place, has everything you need, super comfortable flats. The area has a nice chilled out vibe. Ricardo was fantastic and very hospitable and welcoming.

One thing that would have made it better is provision in the kitchen for basic things like salt, cooking oil, and cleaning products for the dishes. We ended up cleaning the dishes with a bar of soap and our hands but it wasn't too bad :)

Lovely place, lovely staff, shame about the building work opposite!!

Diolinda was brilliant, even asking the builders to start later!!, kept the rooms very clean and was always helpful and friendly, shame about the building work but otherwise the apartments were good.

Wrong time right place.

The accommodation as such has a good price/performance ratio. Located close to Diving Center and beach.

However, at the moment (October/November 2021) there is a large construction site right next to it with massive noise and dust caused by demolition work. No wonder that many guests have left the accommodation in a hurry. We also wanted to reduce our stay from 17 to 10 nights when the noise became unbearable. Although booking.com produced a new statement, the manager only refunded 60% of the price already paid in cash for the cancelled 7 nights, citing allegedly non-refundable commission. A tremendously annoying experience when a move is necessary during the holiday and the costs for this have to be borne additionally by the guest.

location, view, a very friendly lady by the name Angela, she was very friendly and helpful

the sofa bed was really uncomfortable , the boss or manager of this property, wasn't so helpful, he tried to charge us more than the price which been advertised on booking.com, putting extra charges when he knew we are already there with kids and have no much choices .....

Perfect!

Perfect location, spacious apartment, excellent value for money. Stunning views from the balcony. Diomira couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Both sun terraces and pool area were clean and comfortable. We literally couldn't ask for anything more! Will definitely stay here again!

Location was perfect, The lady that does all checks and cleaning was extremely lovely very chatty and very helpful

Bedsheets were very old as well as the lambs and the carpet on the apartments ,There was no spare bedsheets or blankets this ones were very old and you can tell very very used Which even if it’s a hotel that is understanding is not nice to have the feeling that a lot of heads have been in the same pillowcases, First two days we started itching and we thought it was mosquitoes we found out on the third day that there was actually fleas jumping on the bed and getting Stuck in the blankets they were very old and had Holes in them. We spoke to the owner about this and he insinuated that he was US! who brought it from somewhere Else! At ANY point he apologised, just offered to move us on the last night to another apartment which we had a look and it was even older and was not going to fix the problem we just decided to stay in the same room. Definitely this had a bad impact in our holidays because the last three days we were feed up with the situation and wanted to go back home as soon as possible so we were not very comfortable knowing that we could br beaten by fleas anytime and could not sleep at all

Better places than this

Great view of the sea.

We had to wait nearly an hour in the cold & drizzle for the management to reply our calls & messages informing our arrival. The management did not provide heating for the room although it was cold at night. Bare minimum kitchen utensils provided, bring your own kitchen towels, dishwashing liquids, etc. There is a coffee maker but bring your own coffee. Also, bring your own shampoo and soap while you’re at it. When we enquired, were told that we had to bring these ourselves. Hot water for shower has to be used sparingly. Please wait 15 minutes for your next shower as the heater takes this long to heat up sufficient water. The sofa has seen better days.
