Great location, beautiful hotel, friendly helpful staff. Roof top pool and seating area a huge bonus especially after a day of sightseeing in hot weather lovely to return to the hotel to cool off in the pool and relax. Room is clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast is good. Would definitely return.

Nice boutique hotel. Great new rooftop. Restaurant is excellent.
Breakfast service starts late at 08:00. Should start earlier so you can have a full breakfast before checking out. In Palermo you should factor in additional time to catch morning flights

small hotel; manager present and accessible; good breakfast; quality bedding; large washroom; breakfast staff attentive and professional; interior courtyard provided a respite from the heat and the very sketchy neighbourhood.
the neighbourhood is dirty and unsafe. hotel front doors left unlocked or ajar and no staff at the desk. anyone could get in and access the entire property and the rooms, as the elevator had no security. the in-room safe did not work properly and the first excuse was that a previous guest took the key, then the next day the technicians blamed us, accusing us of forgetting our code or hitting the wrong buttons. We are not idiots. We travel a great deal and know how to operate a hotel safe. Eventually they realized the equipment was faulty and had to physically destroy the safe to get our property out. they did not have a master key or master code.
As well, the AC in our room was not functioning either. the receptionist came up and chided us for pushing buttons (we had only lowered the temperature) but her intervention made no difference. after spending a sleepless night in 29*C heat inside the room, we asked for help and the technicians blamed for booking a room on the top floor and on an exterior wall making the room hot. we just wanted their best room, we did not demand the floor or the position of the room. they then discovered the thermostat on the wall had to be replaced. we had no intention of staying in that room another minute and asked to be moved to another room. after much faffing around they moved us to a smaller (but nicer and brighter) room about which we did not complain. the promised “discount” which resulted in a paltry $50 less. the “security deposit” has not yet been removed from my credit card so i enjoy the pleasure of paying for our stay twice.
