It was a great experience overall. The room was quite nice, the restaurant was excellent and the spa is fully equiped and in good condition. It's in the center of the city so an excellent location to explore the beautiful city of baden-baden
The bathroom was in need of some maintenance, e.g. the shower head holder was broken and the shower head selector didn't work so both the top and movable shower heads would turn on simultaneously.
The parking lot is not managed by the hotel and there's a hefty 30€ per day fee.
Room lighting is done via table lamps and a floor lamp which makes it a bit awkward to get to them to switch them on when the room is dark.

The location
The hotel is not as good as it used to be and is now has somewhat dated decor. Most staff were excellent, but one in particular was quite rude. As there was inadequate room in the breakfast room, the hotel used the adjacent bar as an overflow. It was totally unsuitable, as the tables were far too small and the arm chairs far too low.

Luxurious, great location and beautiful spa facilities
The staff at breakfast were extremely inefficient and slow.
However the staff at dinner, and the 4 course meal, were outstanding.
