Good

Not a lot of people, very quiet and the view us nice.

Not even one bottle of water in the room even tho there are no shops near. There is a coffee maker but no coffee. The marsh socket hurted me when I tried to put my phone on charge. A lot of insects everywhere.

I want to return next year.

We loved the innkeeper Rose. She is a treasure and should be protected at all costs. Also, we liked the rescue cats, especially Clara.

The weather could have been warmer.

Very good

Perfect accomodation. The pool is nicely refreshing and big. Stunning view. Rooms provide everything you need.

Located at a very steep hill. Very tiny bathroom compared to the rest of the room. Bed needs a new matras. No restaurants nearby

Impressive accommodation with commanding views and excellent swimming pool

The location, high above the coastline near Ammoudara (Agios Nikolaos), commands excellent views across the bay, and the site has been carefully developed, with substantial, well finished villas, each with 4 apartments. A full-width private balcony gives added privacy, and the well kept swimming pool is delightful.

The elevated position involves a very steep access road - enough to to discourage a casual stroll to the local beaches and tavernas.

Beautiful stay but with minuses

We spent 2 nights here and have mixed feelings. The complex itself is beautiful, colorful, green, clean, the room/apartment big & equipped with everything for cooking there, the garden spectacular, the view & exit to the pool a dream! It was very quiet and peaceful, I really cherish that. We actually spent the morning by the pool and enjoyed the sunrise in peace, this will definitely stay as a favorite memory. I'm not at all the morning person, the reason for catching the sunrise was actually...

... because I couldn't sleep at all in the night, the room was choke-full of mosquitos. We didn't expect this at all so of course we were unprepared, they tortured us all night. I would've expected some kind of spray/candles in the room, anything really, I'm sure the mosquitos were not completely new. We arrived at midnight and didn't open the doors more nor longer than completely necessary to get a bit out... When writing about this to the property, I didn't get any reply. ... the short road up to the complex is a killer (very steep!), and it's not an understatement. We had a small car, not very powerful, and we struggled to get up with it. ... we stayed 2 nights instead of the planned 3 because our flights got delayed a lot, so there was no way to arrive at the complex right after arriving in Chania. Since the free cancellation window is so far from the actual stay (I had to fully pay 2 months ahead, and there was no more cancel possibility), it wasn't possible to shorten the stay also money-wise, so we ended up double booking for the first night... as in booked another hotel in Chania, and left for Agios Nikolaos only the next day. I wrote the property, there was no window of understanding (even though a similar thing happened with the flight back, and this other property was willing to give up the one night). It's just something that could've been a plus. ... lastly, another thing that bothered me a bit, as a big animal lover, there are a lot of cats roaming around, they are very friendly and come to hang out and especially for pets. My heart broke a bit though when I saw them drinking water from the pool (which is probably sea water? so def not healthy for them), it would be nice, since they are anyway allowed there, to give them at least some fresh water on the side (they got water from me while we stayed there)... but I don't know, maybe this is one way to not encourage them to stay too much there.

Great location with kind staff

Location was very nice, walking distance from the beach. The drive-way up to the apartment is very very steep so this is a bit scary to drive with a car. The staff is great, super friendly. Rose did laundry for us which was great. Beds are comfy, for couples just a bit unromantic to have the split in the middle between the two matresses.

The bins in the kitchen and the bathroom could be a bit more hygenic. You need to touch the lid with you hands to open them. I prefer the ones with a foot-pedal.

Fabulous family break with breathtaking views

Beautiful location, the views were to die for. The staff were really pleasant The facilities, pool, room, outdoor space was perfect. Would highly recommend this for families and couples. Lovely and quiet beach just a 10 minute walk. And even lovelier one 20 minute walk….the walk itself was lovely as it’s all coastal. We used a taxi firm to get around and it was super easy - we communicated via text and the value you for Money was great - €10 /€12 into Agios Nikolaos which is a bargain! The room had a full kitchen which was great, especially with fussy 5 year old - we could put on a pizza for him or something simple quite easily!

Very little I could complain about.

I liked everything about the place, the people were amazing Martin and Rose, it was spotlessly clean, facilities around the apartment to hang around for the sunset. Perfect place to explore the West side of Crete

Lovely stay

The location of the villas was great, only a short drive to the local areas such as Agios Nikoloas and beaches, and hikes. I would recommend having a car however as it's very hilly and not able to walk anywhere. The property itself was really well looked after, beautiful trees and flowers, and a fantastic view. The staff were nice, lots of parking and very quiet. The rooms were clean and well looked after. It was good value for money also compared to other options in the area.

There was only aircon in the bedroom and it was quite old, so didn't really cool the room down well enough. It was 28 when we were there, if it had been hotter this wouldnt have been comfortable. The bed was also a little uncomfortable, and i woke with a sore back most days.

Calm, perfect place for vacation

Beautiful view, very comfortable villa, relaxing atmosphere, quiet, great location, very friendly staff.

Mosquitoes biting in the night. Recommended to not open the window, switch on air conditioning and all will be fine :)

Calm place with wonderful sea view

Perfect location with wonderful sea view. You can see the sunrise above the sea direct from the terrace or even from the balcony in some rooms. The staff was really nice.

The rooms and the facilities in the garden are in a good situation. Everything was clean, perfect prepared. However one can feel that a refurbishment/renovation would help the place a lot.

Lovely place, conveniently close to Agios Nikolaos.

The garden is a real highlight, beautifully laid out with plenty of seating. The view from the pool/garden is lovely. During our stay it was really quiet. The cats and the donkey are another highlight.

Excellent holiday stay and really panoramic

One of the best properties we have stayed at in Crete. It has all you would want. One bed apartment with generous space. Fly screens on the patio door and window in the bedroom are the best idea...You can leave the doors and window open in comfort knowing there will be no mossies in the room at night (keep the bedroom door closed). The swimming pool area is very clean and plenty of luxury furniture. The views are spectacular from here. There is quite a hill up to the property so be prepared for this if walking (first gear in the car). Good car parking. Visit Kriti nearby for a lovely day out. You can walk to Agios Nikiolas in about an hour but it is not a comfortable walk because of traffic and lack of footpaths. There is a bus stop outside the hotel down the hill. Turn right on the main road for best beaches. (ask at reception).
