Gorgeous property right on the water.

Location and view of the ocean was beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. Arranged a bioluminescence tour for us, that was wonderful. The receptionist was very polite and helpful.

It’s a little far from town but worth it for the quiet.

It was like a paradise

Location is perfect: front beach (very relaxing watching the see from room and property in general), close to punta coco and down town. It’s not a noisy place.

We thoroughly enjoyed the room with its stunning beach view, and the staff were kind and helpful. However, there is one major issue that detracts from an otherwise positive experience.

Unfortunately, the hotel has a major issue with the WiFi, as it does not reach the rooms. Guests are forced to go to the common areas if they want to use the internet. Another major concern is the broken staircase that leads to the beach. One of the stairs is missing, and the rest are in poor condition. This caused my girlfriend and me to fall on our first day, as it was dark and she was injured as a result. This is extremely dangerous, especially for older guests. Despite these issues, the room itself was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, it is crucial that the hotel address the WiFi and staircase concerns to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests.

Amazing location and vibe.

*right* on the beach - the noise of the waves was deeply relaxing. The temperature was ideal - it was noticeably hotter inland. The hotel was lovely and constructed sustainably with traditional looking methods. Beach beside us was lovely and easy stroll to various tour offerings.

WiFi was unstable - not ideal for remote working.

An economic stay at a lovely location in a very dated but clean property in need of simple remedies.

The ocean front room was great.

Advertised as a bungalow we instead stayed in a second floor room. Advertised as having refillable fresh water we were instead offered plastic bottled water. Asked for a basin to put beside our door for water to rinse sand we used a waste can instead. Front gate held shut by knotted electric cord. Steps to beach broken, missing a plank, unsteady. Open work area for pipe repair in walkway, dangerous.

Not at all as we expected. No hot water no mosquito nets and their customer service is not reponding at all.

the best and the only amazing thing about this accommodation was Eric the receptionist from Golden Paradise Beach. He was very helpful, kind and did everything within his power to help us with all the failures of this place. So all the negative things I’m writing are NOT his fault. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Booking.com said the Golden Paradise was going to offer me a compensation because of all the stuff that was missing or broke or not working but they are ghosting me since I contacted them directly. PLEASE GO AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE ON HOLBOX this accommodation is not worth the price. it’s falling apart and it’s not as in the pictures.

This place is falling apart while looking at it. Dust everywhere, a so called “kitchen” with no equipment at all and a sink you don’t want to touch because it’s extremely dirty. just a fridge but no glasses bowls knives or whatsoever. On booking.com one of the facilities are mosquito nets, that was one of the reasons we booked it because we knew there were a lot but they don’t have any mosquito nets in the rooms at all. during our 1 week stay we had 1 day without any water at all. The rest of the six days that we’re left we had 4 days without ANY hot water coming out the shower. the 2 remaining days there was a bit of hot water but it was dripping so washing your hair was no option at all. We reserved the familie room with partly sea-view but if we wanted to have a look at the sea we had to walk around the apartment. Our neighbors did have their own outside terrace with 2 chairs and a table but we didn’t. The only thing we could do is take two chairs and put them around the corner of our room-entrance but from there the music from the reggae bar next door blew us off the balcony. The music coming from that place was so extremely loud it was on maximum volume 7 days long.

Paid for the amazing view. Only good thing about this hotel.

The view of the room was amazing and we liked the location - on the quiet side of the island.

Beds were not queen sized like advertised. Much smaller and we had trouble squeezing everyone to the beds. Staff was quite rude when we asked about everything. No shop or restaurant. A lot of mosquitoes and poor mosquito nets. Warm water ONLY by request. Wi-fi was the poorest ever, it worked only occasionally. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

lLocation perfect. Based at the quieter end bit still plenty of eateries to walk to.

right on the beach literally. sons of the sea to go to sleep to. Balcony she’d so could sit all day and watch the world go by. Great spot for watching wildlife.

the bed was super firm and the shower had no warm water. Not a major issue as it was welcome in the heat but a slightly warmer shower would have been nice.

Paradise on the beach

The accommodation was comfortable and on a nice part of the beach. Eric was an absolute teddy bear, loved him, really helpful with all our needs, it was my sons birthday and he put balloons & put a cake in his room which was a lovely touch! Outside there were hammocks & sun beds to relax in and you are a stones throw from the water. Nearby there were a couple of restaurants to go enjoy some delish food & margaritas.

There was a big storm and the room at the front, the window wouldn’t do up, it has to be wedged with a pillow to stop the spray coming in. Also In regards to the room at the front it doesn’t have its own access & you have to walk across the room next to its balcony, which feels a bit intrusive when people are out there sunbathing plus it was more money because of the sea view but really the balcony was hidden behind the stairs, so I don’t think worth the extra cost. Could do with a small broom in each room to sweep out the sand otherwise you have to wait for it to be cleaned. Could also do with some more stuff for self catering, like glasses, cups, bowls, utensils etc. Coffee facilities would be good too as whilst the staff would make a communal pot in the morning, there was no sugar, milk or spoons.

Anita, the front desk person was very friendly, helpful, ready to recommend services and places to go! The ocean view from the second floor is outstanding! Right by the beach! I wold love to go back there all the time!! 100% recommended!

Heavenly stay in a perfect place!

This was easily our favorite destination of 2 weeks in the Riviera Maya! Golden Paradise Beach was the perfect place to soak up Holbox's peace and beauty. It's the rare travel occasion where the real thing is better than the photos on the listing. Golden Paradise Beach is quiet but doesn't feel isolated. Our family room was perfect! Downstairs had a queen bed, kitchenette, bathroom and balcony area. Upstairs were 2 beds. A/C units and fans on each floor! Everything was air-tight, with no mosquitoes sneaking in. The hammocks and chairs are perfect for relaxing in between dipping in the ocean. Water was SO clean and clear, with no sargasso (unlike the rest of the towns we visited). When we first arrived, I was worried we were too far away since the golf cart ride was long. But it's only a 15 minute walk along the beach to get back to town with lots of options to snack and drink along the way. Look for the empanada man on the beach and buy one of everything! <3 In town, don't miss Los Peleones for breakfast and incredible service. I can't wait to make it back to Holbox and stay here again-- for longer next time!

When staying at the end of an island, some things are to be expected. Our wifi went out at night, which wasn't a problem. But you might plan ahead if that would be an inconvenience for you. We loved walking into town for dinner, but discovered we preferred to take a taxi back due to the mosquitoes. Neither were a problem, just things to keep in mind.

The Hotel is right next to the beach which was great! Everything in the hotel was very basic but enough to enjoy. It would be great to have a basic kitchen equipment like: kettle, cups, cutlery. There is no wifi!

Good value, location nice quite but not far from the centre. Staff very lovely. Sea view excellent

Upstairs room in the family room felt confined. Air condition didn't work as well as it did upstairs compared to downstairs room.

The person that work there do not speak a word of english and do nit try to understand when you try in spanish.. everything we asked her was super expensive, so we always went to the hotel at the corner of the street, and get all the information needed and much better price.. even free coffee early morning.

Nice hotel, but you will not have a sea view just for yourselves. Don’t be fulled.

Amazing hotel with an amazing views! Room spacious, not far from the town center but at the same time further from the busy big hotels.

Had some bites on my legs even was no mosquitos during the night. We booked most expensive room as we wanted a sea view. We didn’t mind people crossing via the balcony, as it’s connected to the other rooms too, but when the reception lady let other people to use the sun beds infront of our view in the balcony, I wasn’t happy. Good thing that it happend on our last day.
