staff very helpful, very accommodating. breakfast basic but lots of choice. evening meal exceptional. location. very quite. made to feel welcome the whole time there.
the beds, chairs in the lounge, and bedrooms. the decor needs updating, painting and carpets. outside looks very run down when seen. due to the size of the property and what seemed like a lack of guests this could be explained due to cost.
but would gladly return.

I like mountains and mountain scenery so this location was excellent. Breakfast and evening meals were very good. The room was a good size and was clean. Parking although across the road was very adequate
Decoration of the room had a 'tired' look and lighting not so good. The building as a hole would benefit with a 'face lift'

The hosts were very gracious. The restaurant was really good. We enjoyed our dinner and a hearty breakfast the next morning. The beds were very comfortable in the room. It was a generous size and had a nice bathroom. We had an amazing view. The internet service was reliable.

The location is very convenient if you're on the NC500, as we were. Food in the restaurant was OK, which is a good job as there's nowhere else to eat for miles around! Good live folk music in the evening was a bonus. Room was spotlessly clean. The staff were working very hard to keep the place going.... see next section.
We were contacted on the day to say that the boiler had broken, so no hot water or heating. They'd obviously tried their best to get it fixed, but not managed to. Not surprising on a Sunday in the Highlands, but extraordinary that there's no back up system in a hotel of this size. We were offered money off our evening meal in compensation.
The rooms are extremely old fashioned. No TV, ancient avocado bathroom and thin carpets. We felt transported back to the 1970s!
Overall, not good value for money.
