Home Boutique Santa Maria Novella was a pleasant surprise. The pictures and description do not do the place justice. Based on the listing, I expected something much more modest, but our experience was excellent.
The property is small and cozy, so it is important to set expectations accordingly, but it was very comfortable and welcoming. Upon our arrival, Tony took the time to show us a map of Florence and recommend places to visit, which we really appreciated.
The common areas were inviting, and having 24-hour access to snacks was a thoughtful touch that my family enjoyed. The availability of luggage storage before check-in and after check-out was also a big plus and made our visit much easier.
Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The staff members were all very friendly, respectful, and welcoming throughout our stay.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Home Boutique Santa Maria Novella to anyone visiting Florence.
Serving egg and fruits during the buffet breakfast will take the place to another level.

Very nice staffs and nice location.
We booked the ‘executive’ double room and we were assigned the room on the very top and it’s located just above the reception so it can get quite noisy, especially in the morning when everyone comes up to have breakfast and walls are very thin so it resonates very well in the room. On our last night, we had a very loud neighbour so we could hear him from our room as well. Especially when he shouted at 6am. Welcome to the executive room.
