The room was located right on the front of the hotel overlooking the river and bridges of Florence. This did mean we got more noise than we might have liked but the view and sunsets made it worthwhile. The room was a suite and was beautiful. Bed super comfortable, shower large and everything was spotless. Really close to the main attractions but also to a local neighbourhood with all of its bars and restaurants and not so many tourists. The restaurant was good and the courtyard a lovely place to enjoy a cold drink after seeing the sights.
The only way to get water for tea in the morning in the restaurant was from the coffee machine and that was a slow trickle so people waiting for coffee ended up queuing behind while the coffee machine distriubuted water in tiny bursts. It took forever to fill a small teapot. A kettle would have solved this problem but I asked and was told they did not have one. Such a simple problem to solve. Breakfast was really lovely though many of the hot dishes under the heat lamps were barely room temperature. The restaurant had a lovely light and ambience.
