Wonderful hotel with a fantastic location

nice staff, horrible everything else.

the staff was nice

the heater is scheduled and it is very cold all the time. we had to change rooms because the first room’s shower was clogged and the water rose to your ankles. in the next room the soap dispenser was broken and they had to swap it out for us. the rooms were dirty and not cleaned properly before welcoming a new guest, with dust and hair left on chairs, beds, the sinks, and everywhere. by the time we sat for breakfast the fruit and granola was old, brown, or stale. but it really was the cold and lack of heater that made it almost unbearable.

the location is good but it's a bit tiring to climb to the place where the hotel is located after having meals in the center ; the staff is very nice and the breakfast is good as well; the room is well-cleaned and organized

This hotel does everything right, and well. It's a lovely property- the perfect sort of place.

This was a lovely, well-run property in the heart of the historic and chic San Blas area. We had a perfect room, wonderful breakfast prepared to order by a congenial chef, beautiful view overlooking San Blas church and surround, and the best shopping and sightseeing in Cusco. All the staff was so accommodating and helpful. Wish we could have lingered another couple days here.

Favorite hotel in Peru!

Atoq was our favorite hotel that we stayed at in all of Peru. The staff are so incredibly nice (when we arrived we had bad altitude sickness, the man in charge of breakfast showed us the different teas that could help us recover). The hotel is super clean and the breakfast is freshed cooked. No buffet with cold eggs. The showers are hot and they have nice heaters in the rooms that run in the mornings and the evenings. They have tea available in the lobby 24hrs which we drank alot of! The WIFI works great and they have multiple routers to connect to incase one is slow. Almost immediately after our booking the hotel contacted us via Whatsapp, to help us arrange a taxi from the airport. We happened to be in Cusco when the airlines shut down due to protests. The hotel was great about extending our reservations and the ladies at the front desk kept us up to date of changes that were happening within the city and airports. We weren't able to do many excursions because of the protests, however we were super comfortable at the hotel. They have nice little tables set up infront of the rooms and a great area on the ground floor with comfy furniture and nice plants and flowers, it was a great place to relax. The hotel is located in the San Blas area which is very safe and very quiet for any light sleepers. I am really going to miss this hotel and can't wait to hopefully come back some day.

This is a great hotel in the San Blas area and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the people so much that we extended our stay to 8 days. The rooms are perfect - very clean and well-furnished. The lobby is also a comfortable place to settle in and read a book while you drink tea or coffee. There are lots of nice restaurants in the San Blas area. That said, you will get some good exercise walking down to the Plaza de Armas. If someone had walking difficulty it is possible that the San Blas area would not be their first choice.

The steps and steep inclines are substantial. If you have difficulty walking, consider something down the hill near the Plaza de Armas.

don’t hesitate to book atoq for your next trip!

atoq is one of the best boutique hotels i’ve stayed at in the americas. it’s in a perfect location - close enough to the town center to walk to the best restaurants and bars in cusco within minutes, but far enough into san blas to be away from the chaos. the rooms are comfortable with hot water, and breakfast is delicious, plentiful and always on time. but the best part of my stay was the service. the 24 hour front desk staff were always happy to assist with anything, from helping me find last minute train tickets to machu picchu, to booking taxis for me at any hour of the day, to running out to meet me when i forgot my jacket in my room and was already on my way to the airport.

one pain point was the wifi, which was quite unstable, but that’s the case for pretty much anywhere in cusco.

Very comfortable and nicely appointed room. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff.

Location was very high above center of town. WiFi very erratic and often unavailable.

Literally everything. So cute, great location perched in San Blas, super clean, safe, friendliest staff EVER. Wifi worked. Comfy bed. great and plentiful breakfasts. 10/10

I’d like to stay here again :)

The hotel was really clean and nice. View was stunning and staff were kind and helpful :) We enjoyed staying here.

Getting there is a bit hard. You have to go up many stairs.

No need to look any further.

What a place! Super comfy rooms, tea and hot water available all the time. A short, invigorating walk to all the sites, delicious breakfast, and best of all, friendly and VERY helpful staff. They answered my questions with unlimited patience. I'd stay again without doubt.
