The living room area has comfortable seating, a wood stove with complimentary firewood, a 50' flatscreen TV, and direct access to a balcony, and the fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up tasty home-cooked meals. After a day on the slopes, warm yourself by the wood stove, and retire to bedrooms, each furnished with televisions. Take advantage of the shared, on-site amenities that include a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, and even access to a BBQ area equipped with a gas grill. Book this mountain retreat now! This charming mountain retreat boasts a prime location only one mile away from Mammoth Lakes, which means entertainment and restaurants are just a stone’s throw away. Mammoth Mountain (six miles away) offers the chance to try several outdoor activities that include skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, and more! The Snowcreek Golf Course is nearby as well if any of you would like to try and practice your swings. THINGS TO KNOW The internet in this area is unreliable. This home does not allow early check-in. Please remember to bring your pool towels, we only provide regular towels for your stay. While pots and pans are available for use, as a safety precaution, consumables such as oil, spices, and coffee are not provided. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Location is awesome! Fast Internet. Good tvs. Easy checkin.
Overall the cleanliness wasn’t great. At no point did we feel comfortable letting our children walk around barefoot or be on the floor. Hard to tell if the cleaning was satisfactory bc the unit is dated, grungy, beat up and generally uncared for.
The flooring throughout the house is worn and grungy. Every single plank in the downstairs bathroom floor is broken from improper installation. There IS nasty CARPET IN the upstairs BATHROOM. It’s pulling up at the seams in the doorway & is a tripping hazard.
There are several things that seemed like potential safety issues. Including electrical concerns, hard to access fire suppression, unclean dishes, etc.
There aren’t enough characters in this review to write it all.
Frankly, I’m surprised that VRBO allows this unit to be listed for rent. This place looks like somewhere you’d deny owning because you’d be embarrassed if your friends stayed there. This was my first booking on VRBO but not my first vacation rental experience & I have over 70 nights in a hotel this year. This experience makes me hesitant to ever use VRBO again. I’d likely stick to other platforms that I’ve had great experience with.

Convenient location within walking distance to restaurants, entertainment and many more things. Very family friendly and peaceful at the same time. My kids loved the place.

I was relocated here after our original booking had a leaking roof. It’s no more than average - a tired and dated apartment with sliding doors to patios that don’t open, kitchen cabinets with handles coming off, a fireplace in the primary bedroom that sometimes turns on, sometimes doesn’t. About a 10 min drive from Canyon Lodge (where I typically park) and close to the center of town so location is fine. Overall, it served a purpose but would not stay here out of choice.

Adequate but could use some renovation. Utensils and knives need updating. Dishwasher was down for 2 days. First maintenance person was very unhelpful and rude, then a very helpful and courteous man named Long came out and fixed the dishwasher, investing a lot of time and making everything right for us. He was awesome

Location is great, but you get what you pay for. This is one of the cheaper options when staying in Mammoth. The house was dirty. The beds are broken. The furniture is 50 years old. The breakers flip if you plug too many things in. Heater doesn't work well. On top of that, I messaged the host 3 times without a response. Could not find parking passes. Didn't know where to throw away trash. Overall a pretty bad stay. Would love if I can get a refund, but I'll probably still never hear from the host.

Receiving our concerns and complaints did us no good while we stayed there. We complained regarding the heat and electricity not working from the 1st night.
Being transparent would’ve been letting us know that there would not be efficient electricity and heat provided to all the rooms. There are basic expectations for a rental, such as a roof, electricity, heat, and walls. These are not items that any renter should “reach out and ask questions or be concerned about before booking”
Should I have also reached out and asked before I arrived if there was a roof? Electricity and heat are basic needs that should have been met every time someone rents a home in a place as cold as Mammoth. Unless you specifically state in your description of the home that heat and electricity MAY NOT be available at all times, which it was not.
I wish I looked at the reviews before I rented because I am obviously not the first person to complain of the exact same two things the breaker feeling, which means no electricity and heat not working properly.
“Greatly apologizing my for the inconvenience and difficulties” of being cold and lacking electricity is not ok. “Promising to have this issue resolved in the future”does not help me, because I will never stay here again. Neither is “Feeling my great disappointment”

Very convenient location next to the green and red bus lines. However, we were a bit disappointed in the place itself. For instance, the kitchen supplies were a bit lacking (e.g. not enough bowls and spoons, no measuring cups) and some were not very clean. The power in the loft went out every time we used one of the outlets. The two hot tubs in the complex were not clean and one was not hot at all.

Was a great place for the price, but very out dated .. couldn’t run heaters and turn light on at the same time would blow a breaker everytime.. little small for a family of 5 the couch is from the 70s and very small and uncomfortable . The pull out bed is blown out and bent. The beds were super hard. Overall not the best place to stay in mammoth but it was cheap .

Upon arrival the inside of the villa was 30° F. We turned on the bottom floor heating system, and to our surprise the 2nd and third floor had no heating system, only space heaters. We plugged those up, but it keep tripping the breaker. There was plenty of wood for the wood oven but no tinder to start a fire. Called the front desk for assistance and they told me to Google how to start a fire. We eventually got it started. Took a couple hours to warm the place.

Issue with bed

This condo is a pig with lipstick. The third floor accommodations were awful. There were wood planks underneath one of my kids beds and the beds were old and gross and just not well-kept. So much about the house was unclean and outdated. You can tell that they spent money on the kitchen and one of the bathrooms but the first floor bathroom had a lighting fixture that is not attached well and fell off in the middle of our stay. We were able to fix the lighting fixture but the whole house in general is a hard pass. Find somewhere else to stay
It was cheap and it showed. The owners really need to invest in fixing the carpet on the stairs, the face plates on the lighting and the overall decor. The sliding doors were extremely hard to open and all the updates are cheap. It was disappointing

Was a nice place to stay, kind of a funky layout but not a deal breaker. I would stay there again.

Nice property centrally located property. Walking distance to the market, restaurants, breweries. All rooms were nicely decorated and the loft was nice for kids or additional guests. Bathrooms/kitchen were nice as well. I would stay there again!

Upstairs heat - well kinda if you don’t plug the provided space heaters onto the same fuse. If so, POP and you’re now an amateur electrician fixing both bedrooms electricity. (Happened several times). Build a fire - not with just large wood and no kindling or paper. Bedding - adequate but nothing nearly as fancy or nice as the photos. Don’t book if it’s 3 couples. The third couple out will be up in the two bed attic. Family w kids I’d bet they’d love this area.
I WILL say the location is good. Walk to Vons, Roberto’s, Nood-ly, etc. Bus stop to eagle #43/44 are very close. Stop 9 to everywhere else if around the corner. Hot tubs were great. This was a holiday weekend stay, so getting up there in price. But still……

This condo was in a great location and was very clean. Only complaint is that the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. This made it hard to get a good rest after a long day of playing in the snow. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Myself, wife and twins enjoyed our stay. Email communication was great. Check in was a breeze. The unit was clean and as advertised. Very walkable location. One of the highlights of the trip was the fireplace with plenty of wood on one of the patios. Short trip up the way to a great sledding location. Thank you for the experience.
