I had an excellent stay at Hotel Castello. The location is perfect — just a short walk from St. Mark’s Square and very convenient for getting everywhere in Venice. My room on the second floor was charming, very Venetian in style, bright, comfortable, and always spotless. The bathroom was very nice and modern. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. I also loved the area around the hotel: full of small shops and lovely restaurants, lively but not overly touristy. I would definitely stay here again!
Nothing negative to mention. Just keep in mind that there are some stairs and no kettle or coffee machine in the room, although the staff kindly provided me with hot water whenever I needed it. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Breakfast for 10 eur. Quite good.
It was like in cellar or tomb. Windows leading to nowhere. But its probably normal in Venice. Terrace was not there or closed. Not mentioned at all. Even for breakfast. Location near St. Marco great but never want to go there again... too crowded.
