Gorgeous property with interesting history, set in amazing grounds and gardens. The whole village feels quite magical and the climate means there is an abundance of tropical plants lining the roads and in the gardens. The walk from the hotel to the Rozel Pub (owned by hotel) is lovely and felt like a little adventure in itself.
Breakfast in the conservatory was lovely and nice selection on offer - eggs Benedict were very good.
Our room was quite small and dark, it was on top floor attic, the wooden furniture was a good quality but as the room was so small it dominated the whole room and there wasn’t a lot of space to move around. Bathroom was equally as small - we had a bath and shower and there wasn’t no plug for the bath so we couldn’t use it. Bathroom was a bit of a disappointment really for the cost of the room, we expected more. Nice toiletries supplied but as we couldn’t use the bath we didn’t utilise them. We had a great nights sleep though, bed was super comfy.

The bed was comfortable, the fridge wasn't plugged in properly so the milk and water was not cold.
The staff ( especially Amber and a young man from Latvia ) were all friendly, caring, and happy. They make the place.
The breakfasts were outstanding.
The location was perfect, coast and walks right on the doorstep.
The adjacent pub is very good.
The hotel is somewhat tired. There is no bar or dining facility for the evening.
It needs some TLC!
