The location was good for the areas we were visiting.
There was a good choice for breakfast and on both days the food was excellent

The hotel and bar was beautiful a cosy old building, superb comfortable rooms.
The stairs up to the hotel rooms were narrow in places and winding but is expected in an old building and the windows rattled during the storm.

WEll what can I say - booked the worng day (Sunday) instead of Saturday- the stff were fab and shoehorned us in by finding an avilable room which was super kind of them - so can't complain aboutt he room size or otherwise as we were lucky to have anything at all.
We had a meal which was excellent and one of the best we had had for some time.
Breakfast was a little odd - nescafe sachets and hot water - really? surely some proper coffee isn't that expensive or complicated. I stole a spoon from another table for my cereal as I didn't have one. Toast - well I suppose it had been near to a heat source - how near and for how long is another question.
Probably three parking spots onroad outside - maybe a few more across the road in the rather small square else down the road to a dark and gloomy public car park - we were lucky in that someone moved from the front whilst we were deciding what to do.
Dreaded diversion due to closure of A5 at a roundabout off main road. What a blimmin nuisance and took almost one hour to finally get to the hotel where should have been around 10mins. Make sure you know exactly where and what to do if there are closures.
