Great location. Notting Hill is nearby, with lots of convenience stores, grocery stores, and vintage shops around. Getting around by public transport was super easy. The outdoor common area is nice, with plenty of space to hang out and there's a cute squirrel running around. The outlets by the beds also have two USB ports, so there's no need for an adapter. The food prices were affordable, although we didn't have time to try anything. We only stayed for one night, and felt safe both in the area and in the hostel.
The rooms/bathroom could've been cleaner, and the check-in took quite a while (though the staff were kind). The bunk beds weren't great either: the bottom bunk shakes a lot every time someone moves, the middle is a bit better but still feels unstable, and the top bunk is super close to the ceiling and gets pretty noisy. If you're on the middle or top bunk, there's no shelf for your phone, water bottle, glasses or other items, bunks are very close to each other and there is no privacy curtains. The lockers require your own padlock, but you can buy one at the front desk for £4. We also didn't find the wi-fi password, so we ended up not using it, though I'm sure the staff would help, if we had asked. Also not sure how it is with the towels, as we brought our own, and there was no hairdryer.
Overall, it served its intended purpose for a night.
