Really good location in Chvibiani village in Ushguli. Very clean with a really comfortable bed and spotless bedding. Warm greeting.
We had a basic, but functional bathroom in our room.
The overall, rustic character is as-expected, for simple guest house type accommodation in an isolated, ancient village.
Stay in Mestia if you need all the bells and whistles.....
Heaters in the rooms were cheap, sketchy electric things that should be replaced.

We had a great stay in Ushguli. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and could arrange transport or a local tour. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, and cold drinks were available to buy. The room was comfortable, and the terrace was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. We highly recommend this place!

Family is great !
You feel immediately super welcome by all of them, from the grandfather to the grandchildren.
Food : cool that after 4 days of trek, there is a menu you can pick from, and I can tell you won’t be disappointed ! I was Even granted access to the kitchen so I can cook the mushrooms I had picked in the moutains ;)

Decent location on upper part of Ushguli. Adequate facilities on a par with others in the area I guess. Good hot water in very tired shared bathroom. Voluminous supper and breakfast.
Noisy rooms at rear made it very hard to sleep, very sunken mattress and peeling wallpaper didn’t add to the experience.
Loud (drunk?) singers in nearby guesthouse until 2am weren’t the host’s fault, but flapping plastic tarpaulin all night on an unfinished extension and cockerel crowing at 4am onwards definitely were!
Hosts only slightly helpful in trying to find shared taxi option in the morning (and were annoyed when we found a couple to share vehicle with from nearby guesthouse).
