We initially had a little trouble finding the hotel, as there is no clear signage and even our taxi driver from Naples train station didn’t know the location. Luckily, one quick call to Pepe solved everything and we were warmly welcomed and checked in. ;-)
The room was clean and well maintained. We stayed in the Superior King Room, which overlooks the parking area, so there was unfortunately very little natural light, especially as we kept the shutters closed because of the hot weather. There is, however, a lovely shared patio where you can sit outside.
The location is great for exploring Naples. Chiaia metro station (Line 6) is within walking distance, with a connection to Line 1 at Municipio. During our stay, construction works meant Line 6 was closed after 2:00 PM, so this is something to keep in mind. Castel Nuovo is about a 15-minute walk away, and the hop-on hop-off buses also depart from there.
We also used the itTaxi app, which worked perfectly every time. A taxi from Castel Nuovo to the hotel cost us around €15.
The hotel is located in a real local neighbourhood, which we really enjoyed. Laundry hanging from balconies, conversations across the streets, saints and, of course, lots of Maradona — it really gives you a taste of authentic Naples.
There are a few small shops nearby, although fewer are open late in the evening. Pepe kindly let us take drinks from the hotel fridge and pay later, which meant we could enjoy a lovely cold Peroni (Italian pilse) in the evening. ;-)
Both Pepe and the two ladies serving breakfast were incredibly friendly and helpful.
We had a very pleasant stay and felt genuinely welcome.
Definitely recommended if you want to experience the authentic side of Naples!

Kind, helpful, knowledgeable hosts, perfect location to explore many Naples and surrounding area sites. Quiet location, convenient to many good restaurants within a short walk.

The friendly staff. Very quiet area. The cleaning staff even found our SIM for us, that we had misplaced.
