The pub is set in an absolutely stunning location next to the Falls of Dochart. The accomadation we had (Byre) was comfortable and spacious.
It is very dog friendly with plenty of parking.
Food was ok but limited in choice.
Being honest, none of the staff made any particular effort to engage or welcome us from arrival through to departure. From the check-in to ordering and being served food and then finally the breakfast service. It was all lacking.
The Byre room needed some attention from the loose toilet to the broken floor tiles in the bathroom, the loose tap in the kitchen and also the last occupants rubbish under the stool which included their prescription tablets which had been left behind.
With a little effort, this could be a stunning pub. It just needs an injection of enthusiasm and a little maintenance.

Both breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The room was lovely and quiet and spaceous enough for 4 adults. This hotel is in the most amazing setting.

Fabulous location, not only accessible to falls,, but also other great hiking opportunities.
Bed was a bit lumpy.
Staff appeared overworked.

Immediately across to the falls.
The room we were given was tiny. My husband had to hold onto the bathroom door frame to get past the bed , about a foot gap between bed the wall with the TV on the wall. Lovely bath but the plug was stuck in its holder and no chain to pull it out so couldn't use it ,shower was useless as there was no shower curtain and every tap leaked unless you tightened it to extreme. Breakfast was good except you had to ask for butter and marmalade.
