Very attractive hotel and its garden, up on the Paradise hill. We got an upgrade to a Suite at checkin, so our room size was much better. They were also flexible to let us chose which Suite we can get. Staff was kind and helpful anyway. The room has a good view to the bay and the city. They have a lot of facilities, like wellness, and also the Havana bar, however we did not use them. Wifi was also good. Parking can be dedicated in the garage for some fee. The hotel can give you coupons after registration procedure to use the cable trains and some public transit with discount and some places in Ticino county as well.
Breakfast was very broad selection and a good place, however some foods were not fresh on the 2nd and 3rd days of our stay. Hotels in this category must be aware of this. Also, the shower had random pressure and temperature during bath.

Fabulous view, helpful and friendly staff, nice restaurant (Havana Bar), spacious and comfortable room and great location. Just a short walk to the bus and train stations so it’s easy to get around (3 minutes from Central Lugano by train) and the walk back is great for burning off the gelato calories (a steep uphill climb with 52 steps) but totally worth it. We took a taxi upon arrival and departure as it would have been too difficult with luggage but it was fine for day trips and evenings out.
The hill and steps going back to the hotel was a little tough but worth it.
