So many food choices. Police station and Howard Morrison Theatre across the road. Lake and gardens within walking distance. I am 80 years old and would stay here again!
Some street noise, but I loved the chimes at night.

Handy to local cafes and amenities - the staff were amazingly helpful as I turned up late 2:30am and someone was on hand to let me in and help me with my luggage

The staff were excellent, they cleaned twice a day and everything was clean and comfy. The beds were great and the seating area for eating and studying is perfect. They could do with some more powerpoints in this area thought.
The drains in the sink always drained slow, and the hot water was really slow to come through, especially in the mornings.

The common areas were clean, huge tv, very cozy hang out spot. The kitchen seemed to have decent storage. It was a little small but never seemed crowded. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
All in all the atmosphere was very good and the room was decently quiet. Bed was nothing special(very standard for hostel. Squeaking metal bunk bed)but bedding was clean and cozy.
The shower in the ensuite bathroom seemed to have black mold. The surfaces such as the window sill(right by my head on the top bunk) was extremely dusty and had a lot of dead bugs. The window also had a small crack. Weird white marks all over the walls(I think possibly from their mopping solution for the floors??).
