stayed before and will stayt again

upgraded our room on booking for £10 per night excellent value great sized room and bed . The Gent on reception was lovely very friendly and always seemed to be on duty very professional

bath and taps could have been cleaner needs a bit if TLC otherwise room was spotless

Location was good for where I was heading on to

The room was the smallest I have stayed in. I stayed in same hotel a couple of weeks previous amd room was 3 times the size for same price. Would never go back. It was so small you couldn't even move

This hotel looks amazing from the outside, however it is similar to the overlook hotel on the inside

The beds in the rooms were comfortable and the surrounding area the hotel was in, was very nice. The staff were helpful, but the rooms were not great.

The hotel rooms have not been changed since the 1970s at least. Broken fan in the room, the shower didn't drain, the phone was broken. The cards for the hotel rooms constantly demagnetise I had to take at least 4 trips to get back to reception to reset my card.

Overpriced and uncomfortable. Nice staff though

Location was good

Room was miles away and was small, corridors were dingy, external light shone directly into our window and the mattress was so bad we could feel every single spring. We paid a supplement for early entry which put the price up by £20 which I was happy to pay. However this meant the overall cost was extortionate for the quality when we got to the room

Amazing Oasis of tranquility

Very comfortable. Awesome room service menu, if you arrived late and didn't have time to eat out you would not be disappointed. The bathroom was huge and the tub was amazing as was the shower. Pleasantly surprised to find a steam iron and trouser press in the room, both were made use of. Another surprise was that it was pet friendly with folks taking their dogs for walks in the woods in which the property is set. The fitness centre was in full use in the morning and the view from a very powerful jacuzzi overlooking the woods has to be seen as words just don't do it justice. The staff were incredible, definitely my first choice next time I am in Newcastle.

The hotel is in need of an upgrade in the rooms, and the lifts .The carpets have been upgraded it's the fixtures that need updating but cost could be eye watering. However that said it's an amazing location with great facilities and deserves to succeed it would be a real shame if it didn't

Comfortable, well situated and clean.

It was all really good. We enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable.

There was a large queue at reception with only one person on. Someone did arrive to help but it took about ten minutes for the help to arrive.

Would only say the hotel was a 2/3star considering it was a grand hotel and the bar/restaurant area looked nice

Atmosfären. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Bra för stora sällskap då det finns mycket utrymme.

Frukosten var ok men kunde varit bättre med tanke på hotellets standard i övrigt.

Disappointing and not the night I had planned for me and my daughter.

The staff were polite. The breakfast was nice.

I booked this trip for me and my daughter and specifically wanted a few hours in the pool after our shopping trip however, upon arrival we were told it closed at 4pm which was obviously a huge disappointment. I was not even notified by email. Another thing was the room was very small and bed very uncomfortable. There was also a smell of damp in the corridor.

Excellent value, and comfortable rooms.

Excellent value for money. Clean and comfortable rooms. Short Uber ride into central Newcastle. Staff were accommodating to small changes to our booking. We enjoyed the Starbucks breakfast deal available in the cafe area.

Some building work happening in foyer during our stay.

Convenient to the Newcastle airport, comfortable room, with fan, window, kettle, and comfortable bed (everything one needs when traveling in summer).

I arrived after dark and the signs directing me to reception were not lit, so I ended up on the wrong side of the property.

I paid nearly 200 for what I thought was a queen size room and there was an extra door damage to the doors not impressed. I have stayed there for 4 visits won’t be staying again

Dinner was nice, good location for me, staff were pleasant enough, really good shower.

Long queue at check-in, room was quite dated with various broken fitments and poorly sound insulated. Not really 4 star quality but fine for a work related stay.

Bar states open til 11pm they closed 10.15pm.

Bed and room nice.

Friday night being told they are closing bar at 10.15 kicked out the customers and made to finish drink in foyer.

Good location but very dated hotel

Easy access to the A1/Newcastle and plenty of food options around. free parking is great although very busy, staff are friendly and rooms were well heated. good thing as it was -2 at the time.

The lifts weren’t the best. broken buttons and very bouncy. noticed too late to swap rooms but the toilet wouldn’t flush more than a single sheet of paper. had to fill a bin with water to flush it. staff just said ‘thanks for letting us know’ no apologies. sounded like they had the issue before. no plugs near the bed so has to charge phone at the other side of the room.
